Statistical Data<br />

107. Deputy Seamus Kirk asked <strong>the</strong> Taoiseach <strong>the</strong> number <strong>of</strong> persons over <strong>the</strong> age <strong>of</strong> 65<br />

years in County Louth as <strong>of</strong> January 2012; if he will provide a gender breakdown <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> figures;<br />

and if he will make a statement on <strong>the</strong> matter. [7749/12]<br />

Minister <strong>of</strong> State at <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Taoiseach (Deputy Paul Kehoe): The detailed<br />

results <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 2011 Census <strong>of</strong> Population, which are due to be published at <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> March,<br />

will include a breakdown <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> population by age and county in April 2011. In <strong>the</strong> meantime,<br />

<strong>the</strong> exact information requested by <strong>the</strong> Deputy is not available.<br />

However, <strong>the</strong> annual Population and Migration Estimates include an estimate <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> number<br />

<strong>of</strong> persons aged 65 years and over in each Regional Authority area. These estimates are not<br />

compiled at County level. The latest annual estimate for <strong>the</strong> Border Region (<strong>of</strong> which Louth<br />

is part) is that <strong>the</strong>re were 60,800 persons aged 65 or over in <strong>the</strong> region in April 2011: 28,600<br />

men and 32,200 women. The annual estimates are subject to revision when <strong>the</strong> more detailed<br />

Census results become available.<br />

108. Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked <strong>the</strong> Taoiseach <strong>the</strong> number <strong>of</strong> agencies, authorities, boards,<br />

committees, working groups, tribunals, council services, task forces, agencies or o<strong>the</strong>r quangos<br />

set up be him since February 2011; <strong>the</strong> number abolished since <strong>the</strong>n; and if he will make a<br />

statement on <strong>the</strong> matter. [7750/12]<br />

The Taoiseach: No agencies, authorities, boards, committees, working groups, tribunals,<br />

council services, task forces or o<strong>the</strong>r quangos were established or abolished by me since<br />

February 2011.<br />

109. Deputy Shane Ross asked <strong>the</strong> Taoiseach if he will list all appointments to State boards<br />

and agencies made by him since he came to power; <strong>the</strong> persons appointed; <strong>the</strong> boards and<br />

agencies to which <strong>the</strong>y were appointed; <strong>the</strong> remuneration details <strong>of</strong> each appointment; and if<br />

he will make a statement on <strong>the</strong> matter. [7829/12]<br />
