PIZZA NIGHT: returns to the First Parish Church, in<br />

Berlin Center, on Friday, Sept. 10, 5 to 7 p.m. Eat in or<br />

take out. The eat-in buffet includes all-you-can-eat pizza,<br />

salad, drink and dessert. Cost is $7 for adults, $5 for<br />

children 12 and under, or $20 for a family of four. The<br />

monthly special is barbecue chicken with caramelized<br />

onions.<br />

ANNUAL FALL FAIR: St. Joseph the Good Provider on<br />

Route 62 will hold its annual fall fair on Sunday, Sept. 12<br />

from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Doughnuts, sandwiches and<br />

coffee will be served starting at 8:30 a.m. Attic Treasures,<br />

baked goods, harvest booth, adult and children’s “Portuguese<br />

Booths, wheel of fortune, raffles, games, a moonwalk,<br />

and live entertainment will be featured. There will<br />

be lots of fair food, including a chicken dinner and<br />

barbecue. Crafters and flea table exhibitors can rent a<br />

WEDNESDAY EVENING DISCUSSION GROUP of<br />

First Parish Church will start again on Sept. 15, at 7:30<br />

p.m. in the Meeting House to consider “The Question of<br />

BERLIN CULTURAL COUNCIL: is seeking proposals<br />

from non-profit organizations, schools and individuals<br />

to apply for grants to support cultural programs in the<br />

community. The Mass. Cultural Council will be providing<br />

the local council with grant money to support a<br />

variety of artistic projects and activities for all ages. This<br />

includes exhibits, festivals, performances in schools,<br />

passes to cultural events, etc. Applications can be found<br />

at the town website under Cultural Council, at the Berlin<br />

Public Library, the Town Offices, and the 1870 Town<br />

Hall, or e-mail culturalcouncil@townof berlin.com for<br />

more information. Application deadline is Oct. 15.<br />

GUIDED PRAYER AND MEDITATION: beginning<br />

on Sept. 17, at noon on the third Fridays of every month at<br />

First Church.<br />

BERLIN FIRST PARISH PRESCHOOL: Openings are<br />

available for 3- and 4-year-olds for the <strong>2010</strong>-2011 school<br />

year. Three-hour half-day programs are offered. Class<br />

sessions are Tuesday and Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to noon<br />

and Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to<br />

noon. Optional extended days to 1 p.m. are available. For<br />

NASHOBA REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL: student -athlete/parent<br />

meetings, Sept. 7, freshman/sophomore at 6<br />

p.m., Juniors/Seniors at 7:30 p.m. Attention all fall,<br />

winter and spring sports participants, There will be one<br />

meeting for all sports. This meeting is mandatory for all<br />

student-athletes and a parent/guardian(s) if the student<br />

is interested in competing in a any sports this year.<br />

Parents who have children in multiple grades can<br />

choose to attend either session.<br />

CLASS OF 1975: The Nashoba Regional High School<br />

Class of 1975 is holding its 35th reunion on Sept. 11, at<br />

Butternut Farm Golf Club in Stow from 6 to 10 p.m. The<br />

reunion committee (Karl Drechsler, Heidi Krantz, Paul<br />

Kamp and Sharon (Scraggs) Burrell) is still trying to<br />

find some “missing” classmates to let them know about<br />

the reunion so if you know anyone from the class of 1975,<br />

let them know. Tickets must be purchased before the<br />

MOM TO MOM: meets Wednesday mornings, beginning<br />

Sept. 15, through Nov. 17, at Trinity Church, 14<br />

Wattaquadock Hill Road. Each session begins with a<br />

continental breakfast at 9:15 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m.<br />

Childcare is provided. Each lecture is followed by small<br />

group discussions led by experienced mothers. For a<br />

WELL ADULT CLINIC: sponsored by the Nashoba<br />

Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the<br />

Bolton. Residents can drop in for blood pressure, pulse<br />

YAHOO FALL REGISTRATION: Senior citizens can<br />

registers for this service by calling or visiting the Senior<br />

Center at the Butterick Municipal Building. The phone<br />

help seniors with yard work in the spring and fall. Students<br />

in grades 7 through 12 and parents who are interested<br />

in joining or re-joining can get a registration form<br />

STERLING CHOCKSETT CLUB Pancake Breakfast at<br />

the Sterling Fair. Start your day at the Sterling Fair with a<br />

hearty, delicious pancake breakfast. Breakfast proceeds<br />

support scholarships for Sterling High School seniors.<br />

Breakfast will be served Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 11and<br />

12 from 8 to 11 a.m. in the big tent just inside the fair<br />

entrance. The menu includes pancakes with all the trimmings,<br />

sausage, coffee and juice. Tickets may be purchased<br />

in advance from club members for $5 or at the door<br />

for $5.50. Each ticket holder will receive one free raffle<br />

ticket for the Big Bear raffle that will be drawn at 10:45 a.m.<br />

RUG HOOKING AND FIBER ARTISTS: at the Sterling<br />

Fair (Sept. 11 and 12) in the Exhibition Tent. See demonstrations<br />

knitting. The Wachusett Chapter of the Association of<br />

Traditional Hooking Artisits meets on the second Friday<br />

the fifth annual Town Wide Yard Sale on Saturday,<br />

registered each year. Yard sale maps will be available on<br />

the day of the sale from 7:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. and cost $2. Pick<br />

up a registration form at the Sterling library, Town Hall or<br />

$20 for a sale in your own yard or $25 for a space on the<br />
