exclusion.
• The exclusion should be adopted,
forcing parties to a franchise to reduce
all promises to writing.
• A cooling off period should be adopted
to allow franchisees to make the
important purchase decision with a cool
mind, following Australia's franchise
legislation.
• Manitoba should require franchisees to
seek ILA prior to signing the franchise
agreement. In addition, a waiver
provision should be included.
• To increase understanding of disclosure
documents, Manitoba should require
franchisors to include a table of contents
with page numbers.
