Review of 2006 This is a year in which we have developed and strengthened our brands, expanded our product range, added new lines and continued to drive innovation in the quality of the in‐store experience. We have taken great strides in mixing the finest local and regional produce with quality international brands and foods, developing our own quality brands, enabling our retailers to offer consumers a more compelling shopping experience. We are delighted with the business performance in all our markets. We currently partner more than 3,000 locally‐owned stores through five trading divisions across three countries. During 2006, we continued to deliver to our retail partners an offer which is constantly evolving to satisfy consumer needs and which places dynamic entrepreneurial businesses at the heart of local communities. Achievements in 2006 included the ongoing expansion of the SuperValu, Centra and Daybreak retail brands in Ireland, progress with our strategy of divestment of Budgens outlets in Great Britain which is on target for completion by 2008 and the ongoing development of our retail partnerships in Northern Ireland and Spain. With the support, hard work and innovation of our people and our retailer partners we continue to improve standards of customer care and the all-round customer retail experience.
