GUEST SPEAKER COMING TO SPIRAL
Peter Skylar is producer and scout who travels around the country
giving informative lectures to young aspiring artists about the industry.
Peter's talk is about what young people should expect when entering
into a career in the arts; the opinions of industry professionals; how
health and lifestyle pertain to sustaining a successful career in the arts
(or simply just a love of the arts) and more.
The websites to look at showing exactly what he says and giving more
in depth details of what and why are the
following:www.petersklaronline.com;www.petersklarspeaks.net; and
www.kidwhoplayedthepalace.net.
The talk itself is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes in length.
Immediately following is a short break (5 mins or so)
After the break, Peter holds one on one interviews with the students.
This is a very informal process and the students do not have to stay if
they have to leave; generally everyone wants to though. This portion
may take approximately an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes as well,
depending on how many attend.
The ideal time frame to block off for everything would be between 2 to
2 ½ hours.
We do ask that anyone under the age of 18 be accompanied by one of
their parents. We do ask that anyone under the age of six not attend,
as it is just not age appropriate.
If you and your parent are interested in attending please email
Loretta at info@spiraldance.ca ASAP. Space is limited.
See attached poster for more information.
