wedding announced<br />

Ashley Williams and Thomas Koss were united in marriage<br />

on June 23, <strong>2012</strong>, at Solomon Lu<strong>the</strong>ran Church in<br />

Woodville, Ohio. The ceremony was performed by <strong>the</strong><br />

Rev. Henry Seibert.<br />

Parents <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bride are Victor Williams Jr. and Brenda<br />

Williams <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong>, and Tracy Rodriguez <strong>of</strong> Michigan.<br />

Parents <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bridegroom are Valerie Koss <strong>of</strong> Toledo,<br />

and John Koss <strong>of</strong> Maumee.<br />

The Maid <strong>of</strong> Honor was Sarah Rutz <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong>.<br />

Bridesmaids were Stephanie Aben <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong>, Bethany<br />

Dario <strong>of</strong> Texas, sister-in-law <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bridegroom, Emily<br />

Haas <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong> and Jordan Williams <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong>,<br />

sister <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bride.<br />

Best Man was Jamall Bias <strong>of</strong> Toledo. Groomsmen were<br />

Sam Lueck <strong>of</strong> Bowling Green, Brian Dario <strong>of</strong> Texas,<br />

bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bridegroom, Anthony Tersigni <strong>of</strong> Oregon,<br />

and James Williams <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong>, bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bride.<br />

The Flower Girls were Jasmine Mier <strong>of</strong> Toledo and<br />

Vaida Mier <strong>of</strong> Colorado. The Ring Bearers were Darian<br />

Rodriguez and Tristan Rodriguez, both <strong>of</strong> Gibsonburg.<br />

A reception was held at <strong>the</strong> Maumee Elks Club. The<br />

couple plan to take a honeymoon trip on <strong>the</strong>ir one year anniversary.<br />

Ashley is a 2009 graduate <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong> High School,<br />

and a <strong>2012</strong> graduate <strong>of</strong> Owens Community College, where<br />

she received a degree in criminal justice. She is employed<br />

as a communications <strong>of</strong>ficer for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong> Police Division.<br />

Thomas is a 2008 graduate <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong> High School.<br />

He is employed at Buffalo Wild Wings and Rossford<br />

Bowling Alley while pursuing a degree in ma<strong>the</strong>matics education<br />

at Owens Community College.<br />

The couple resides in Toledo.<br />

Riley Pummill and Robert Walbom<br />

united in marriage<br />

Riley Bridget Pummill and Robert Michael Walbom<br />

were married July 7, <strong>2012</strong>, at Holy Spirit Chapel on<br />

Saint Mary’s College <strong>of</strong> Notre Dame, Indiana campus.<br />

The ceremony was performed by <strong>the</strong> Rev. John Pearson,<br />

CSC.<br />

The bride is <strong>the</strong> daughter <strong>of</strong> Brian and Tonya Pummill<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong>, and <strong>the</strong> late Julie (Pohlman) Schultz.<br />

The bridegroom is <strong>the</strong> son <strong>of</strong> David and Tamara Walbom<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong>.<br />

Presented in marriage by her fa<strong>the</strong>r, <strong>the</strong> bride was attended<br />

by her sister, Mary Eileen Pummill, as Maid <strong>of</strong><br />

Honor. Bridesmaids were Kathleen Pummill, Ashley<br />

Shidler, Alyssa Perez and Elizabeth Walbom. Margaret<br />

Pummill was <strong>the</strong> junior bridesmaid.<br />

Best Man was Jonathon David Walbom, bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

bridegroom. Groomsmen were Thomas Walbom,<br />

Jonathon Rodebaugh, Trevor Nash and Ronald Collier.<br />

A reception immediately following <strong>the</strong> ceremony was<br />

held at Dewey Cannon Winery and Brewery in Three<br />

Oaks, Michigan.<br />

The bride is a 2008 graduate <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong> High<br />

School and a <strong>2012</strong> graduate <strong>of</strong> Saint Mary’s College <strong>of</strong><br />

Notre Dame, Indiana, where she earned her bachelor <strong>of</strong><br />

arts degree in psychology.<br />

The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong><br />

High School and a 2009 graduate <strong>of</strong> Bowling Green<br />

State University, where he earned his bachelor <strong>of</strong> science<br />

degree in education.<br />

The newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon trip through<br />

Scotland and Ireland and now reside in Blacksburg, Virginia.<br />

After graduation, she lived in Japan and worked as an<br />

English teacher for two years. She <strong>the</strong>n moved to Florida<br />

to work as a kindergarten teacher in Fort Myers. She is<br />

self-employed as a nanny and personal assistant in Fort<br />

Myers.<br />

Alexander is a 2001 graduate <strong>of</strong> St. Anthony’s High<br />

School in Huntington, New York. After attending Wentworth<br />

Institute <strong>of</strong> Technology in Boston, he moved to<br />

Sanibel to pursue a degree in history. He is a 2007 graduate<br />

<strong>of</strong> Florida Gulf Coast University, with a major in history<br />

and a minor in anthropology. He is employed as a<br />

diagnostic scheduler for 21st Century Oncology in Bonita<br />

Springs, Florida.<br />

collects funds<br />

for hurricane<br />

relief efforts<br />

Catholic Charities <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Diocese <strong>of</strong> Toledo continues<br />

to collect donations for Hurricane<br />

Sandy relief efforts.<br />

The organization has received<br />

more than $100,000<br />

thus far from churches,<br />

schools and individuals in <strong>19</strong><br />

counties <strong>of</strong> northwest Ohio.<br />

Donations are directed to<br />

Catholic Charities USA<br />

(CCUSA), which is distributing<br />

<strong>the</strong> funds to local<br />

Catholic Charities agencies<br />

on <strong>the</strong> East Coast that are<br />

providing immediate and<br />

long-term assistance.<br />

Donations are used to<br />

provide case management,<br />

emergency assistance such<br />

as food and shelter, housing<br />

repair and home rebuilding<br />

for people <strong>of</strong> all faiths.<br />

2010, <strong>the</strong> Diocese <strong>of</strong> Toledo<br />

collected more than half a<br />

million dollars for relief efforts<br />

after <strong>the</strong> earthquake<br />

struck Haiti.<br />

has reappointed Dr.<br />

Ronald McMaster <strong>of</strong> <strong>Perrysburg</strong><br />

to <strong>the</strong> Owens Community<br />

College Board <strong>of</strong><br />

Trustees.<br />

Dr. McMaster will serve<br />

a six-year term on <strong>the</strong> College’s<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees<br />

ending in 2018.<br />

served as chair from 2006 to<br />

2007 and vice chair from<br />

2003 to 2005.<br />

His involvement also includes<br />

serving on several<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees ad hoc<br />

and standing committees,<br />

including <strong>the</strong> Finance Committee,<br />

Trustees Collaboration<br />

Committee and for<br />

Owens Community College<br />

presidential searches.<br />

Additionally, Dr. Mc-<br />

Master has made significant<br />

contributions to <strong>the</strong> mission<br />

<strong>of</strong> Owens Community College<br />

and <strong>the</strong> Owens Community<br />

College Foundation<br />

through fostering relationships,<br />

most notably with <strong>the</strong><br />

Gateway to College National<br />

Network and <strong>the</strong> Mc-<br />

Master Foundation, in <strong>the</strong><br />

support <strong>of</strong> students attaining,<br />

persisting and completing<br />

degrees in high school<br />

Dr. McMaster is retired<br />

from GlassTech Inc. as vice<br />

president <strong>of</strong> corporate development.<br />

He earned both bachelor’s<br />

and master’s degrees<br />

from <strong>the</strong> Ohio State University<br />

and a doctoral degree<br />

from <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong><br />

Michigan, all within <strong>the</strong><br />

concentration <strong>of</strong> mechanical<br />

engineering.<br />
