Williams-Koss
wedding announced
Ashley Williams and Thomas Koss were united in marriage
on June 23, 2012, at Solomon Lutheran Church in
Woodville, Ohio. The ceremony was performed by the
Rev. Henry Seibert.
Parents of the bride are Victor Williams Jr. and Brenda
Williams of Perrysburg, and Tracy Rodriguez of Michigan.
Parents of the bridegroom are Valerie Koss of Toledo,
and John Koss of Maumee.
The Maid of Honor was Sarah Rutz of Perrysburg.
Bridesmaids were Stephanie Aben of Perrysburg, Bethany
Dario of Texas, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Emily
Haas of Perrysburg and Jordan Williams of Perrysburg,
sister of the bride.
Best Man was Jamall Bias of Toledo. Groomsmen were
Sam Lueck of Bowling Green, Brian Dario of Texas,
brother of the bridegroom, Anthony Tersigni of Oregon,
and James Williams of Perrysburg, brother of the bride.
The Flower Girls were Jasmine Mier of Toledo and
Vaida Mier of Colorado. The Ring Bearers were Darian
Rodriguez and Tristan Rodriguez, both of Gibsonburg.
A reception was held at the Maumee Elks Club. The
couple plan to take a honeymoon trip on their one year anniversary.
Ashley is a 2009 graduate of Perrysburg High School,
and a 2012 graduate of Owens Community College, where
she received a degree in criminal justice. She is employed
as a communications officer for the Perrysburg Police Division.
Thomas is a 2008 graduate of Perrysburg High School.
He is employed at Buffalo Wild Wings and Rossford
Bowling Alley while pursuing a degree in mathematics education
at Owens Community College.
The couple resides in Toledo.

Riley Pummill and Robert Walbom
united in marriage
Riley Bridget Pummill and Robert Michael Walbom
were married July 7, 2012, at Holy Spirit Chapel on
Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame, Indiana campus.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John Pearson,
CSC.
The bride is the daughter of Brian and Tonya Pummill
of Perrysburg, and the late Julie (Pohlman) Schultz.
The bridegroom is the son of David and Tamara Walbom
of Perrysburg.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended
by her sister, Mary Eileen Pummill, as Maid of
Honor. Bridesmaids were Kathleen Pummill, Ashley
Shidler, Alyssa Perez and Elizabeth Walbom. Margaret
Pummill was the junior bridesmaid.
Best Man was Jonathon David Walbom, brother of the
bridegroom. Groomsmen were Thomas Walbom,
Jonathon Rodebaugh, Trevor Nash and Ronald Collier.
A reception immediately following the ceremony was
held at Dewey Cannon Winery and Brewery in Three
Oaks, Michigan.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Perrysburg High
School and a 2012 graduate of Saint Mary’s College of
Notre Dame, Indiana, where she earned her bachelor of
arts degree in psychology.
The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Perrysburg
High School and a 2009 graduate of Bowling Green
State University, where he earned his bachelor of science
degree in education.
The newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon trip through
Scotland and Ireland and now reside in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Owens Alumni Assn. appoints board
members to leadership positions
The Owens Community
College Alumni Association
has named Matt Feasel of
Perrysburg, treasurer for Perrysburg
Schools, as the new
president of the Alumni Association.
Mr. Feasel replaces
Andrea Gurcsik of
Maumee, who served as
president for the previous
two years.
In addition, the Alumni
Association named Walter
Celley of Perrysburg, Attorney
at Celley & Sanderson
LLP, as vice president; Amy
Hansen of Curtice,
owner/photographer of
Imagine That Photo, as treasurer;
and Kaye Koevenig of
Toledo, Owens Community
College senior accountant, as
secretary. Each officer will
serve a two-year term.
Three directors were reelected
to their positions and
will serve three-year terms.
Re-elected Directors include
Susan Litten of Maumee,
Janet Meacham of Rossford,
and Christi Wagner of Deshler.
Audrey Wright of
Toledo, was appointed to a
one-year term.

Werner–Sehlmeyer
engagement announced
Cassondra A. Sehlmeyer and Alexander A. Werner announce
their engagement. Cassondra is the daughter of
Deborah and Trannie Sehlmeyer of Perrysburg, and formerly
of Toledo. Alexander is the son of Karen Storjohann
and Alexander Werner of Sanibel, Florida, and
formerly of East Islip, New York,
Cassondra is a 2000 graduate of Start High School and
a 2004 graduate of Wittenberg University, where she majored
in elementary education and Russian area studies.
After graduation, she lived in Japan and worked as an
English teacher for two years. She then moved to Florida
to work as a kindergarten teacher in Fort Myers. She is
self-employed as a nanny and personal assistant in Fort
Myers.
Alexander is a 2001 graduate of St. Anthony’s High
School in Huntington, New York. After attending Wentworth
Institute of Technology in Boston, he moved to
Sanibel to pursue a degree in history. He is a 2007 graduate
of Florida Gulf Coast University, with a major in history
and a minor in anthropology. He is employed as a
diagnostic scheduler for 21st Century Oncology in Bonita
Springs, Florida.
A November 16, 2013, wedding at Chapel By The Sea
in Captiva, Florida, is planned.
Shannon Walters
plays in UF
holiday concert
Shannon Walters, a
freshman nuclear medicine
technology major, recently
performed in the University
of Findlay’s orchestra concert
“Almost Christmas.”
A 2011 graduate of Perrysburg
High School, Shannon
is the daughter of
Wendy Walters of Perrysburg.
At UF, she is active in
environmental club and orchestra.
Catholic Charities
collects funds
for hurricane
relief efforts
Catholic Charities of the
Diocese of Toledo continues
to collect donations for Hurricane
Sandy relief efforts.
The organization has received
more than $100,000
thus far from churches,
schools and individuals in 19
counties of northwest Ohio.
Donations are directed to
Catholic Charities USA
(CCUSA), which is distributing
the funds to local
Catholic Charities agencies
on the East Coast that are
providing immediate and
long-term assistance.
Donations are used to
provide case management,
emergency assistance such
as food and shelter, housing
repair and home rebuilding
for people of all faiths.
“We are blessed to have a
local Catholic community
that so enthusiastically and
passionately reaches out to
our brothers and sisters in a
time of crisis,” said Rodney
Schuster, Catholic Charities
executive director.
In recent years, Catholic
Charities provided case
management and disaster relief
to Richland County residents
affected by flooding
in 2011 and to northwest
Ohio residents affected by
tornadoes in 2010. Also in
2010, the Diocese of Toledo
collected more than half a
million dollars for relief efforts
after the earthquake
struck Haiti.
Donations for Hurricane
Sandy relief efforts are still
being accepted as the rebuilding
phase continues.

Diocese of Toledo with
Hurricane Relief in the
memo line and sent to or

No administrative fees
are taken out by CCUSA or

Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich
has reappointed Dr.
Ronald McMaster of Perrysburg
to the Owens Community
College Board of
Trustees.
Dr. McMaster will serve
a six-year term on the College’s
Board of Trustees
ending in 2018.

Ronald McMaster will continue
to provide leadership
to Owens Community College’s
Board of Trustees,”
said Dee Talmage, chair of
the Owens Community College
Board of Trustees.
“Ron’s unwavering commitment
to higher education
has had a profound impact
on Owens Community College

his continued dedication and
support toward advancing
the academic institution’s
mission through excellence,
innovation and collaboration.”
Dr. McMaster was initially
appointed to the College’s
Board of Trustees in
March 1993.
During his Board of
Trustees tenure, he has
served as chair from 2006 to
2007 and vice chair from
2003 to 2005.
His involvement also includes
serving on several
Board of Trustees ad hoc
and standing committees,
including the Finance Committee,
Trustees Collaboration
Committee and for
Owens Community College
presidential searches.
Additionally, Dr. Mc-
Master has made significant
contributions to the mission
of Owens Community College
and the Owens Community
College Foundation
through fostering relationships,
most notably with the
Gateway to College National
Network and the Mc-
Master Foundation, in the
support of students attaining,
persisting and completing
degrees in high school
and in college.
Dr. McMaster is retired
from GlassTech Inc. as vice
president of corporate development.
He earned both bachelor’s
and master’s degrees
from the Ohio State University
and a doctoral degree
from the University of
Michigan, all within the
concentration of mechanical
engineering.
The College’s Board of
Trustees is comprised of six
community leaders from
Lucas, Wood, Hancock and
Sandusky counties who are
appointed by the Governor
of Ohio.
