from a dream in which he experienced being am<strong>on</strong>g thousands<br />
of people, <strong>on</strong>ly to find that although seeming real at <strong>the</strong> time,<br />
<strong>the</strong>y were all projecti<strong>on</strong>s of his own c<strong>on</strong>sciousness and <strong>on</strong><br />
awakening, <strong>on</strong>ly he as <strong>the</strong> witness of <strong>the</strong> dream exists.<br />
Thus <strong>the</strong> world and all those in it are seen simply as <strong>the</strong><br />
projecti<strong>on</strong> of a single being animating a single body. In this<br />
c<strong>on</strong>cepti<strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong>re is no distincti<strong>on</strong> between <strong>the</strong> liberated and <strong>the</strong><br />
bound souls, since all o<strong>the</strong>rs are no more than imaginary<br />
creati<strong>on</strong>s of <strong>the</strong> mind.<br />
Some<strong>on</strong>e who c<strong>on</strong>siders that <strong>the</strong>re is <strong>on</strong>ly <strong>on</strong>e single j⁄va (or<br />
sentient being) in existence is known as an eka-j⁄va-vådin (ekajeeva-vaadin).<br />
The opposite view is that of aneka-j⁄va<br />
j⁄va-våda<br />
våda<br />
(belief in <strong>the</strong> plurality of beings).<br />
Quotes:<br />

In your outlook you al<strong>on</strong>e exist and not I.<br />
In <strong>on</strong>e’s outlook <strong>on</strong>ly he exists and not anything else.<br />
On scrutiny all that exists is <strong>on</strong>ly Me.” 1<br />
