Lymphoplasmacytic Lymphoma<br />

Definiti<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong> Incidence<br />

Lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL) is composed <strong>of</strong> an<br />

admixture <strong>of</strong> small B lymphocytes, lymphoplasmacytoid cells<br />

<strong>and</strong> plasma cells involving the b<strong>on</strong>e marrow, lymph<br />

nodes <strong>and</strong> spleen <strong>and</strong> usually associated with a serum<br />

paraprotein <strong>of</strong> IgM subtype.<br />

LPL is rare <strong>and</strong> comprises
