RESERVATIONS
You must be at least 18 years old to rent a campsite.
Reservations must be made no later than two weeks prior to camping dates by phone or in
person. Payment may be made in person, by check or by credit card. Mastercard and Visa are
accepted.
A maximum of two (2) waterfront sites may be used for extended stay. All other sites are a
fifteen (15) day maximum stay.
A four (4) night minimum reservation is required for Waterfront Sites on the weekends.
Any site sleeping more than six (6) persons will be charged an additional $6 per person/per day.
No site selection guaranteed.
The park opens the last Saturday in April and closes the third Saturday in October.

RATES
Waterfront sites: $25 per day. Water and electric hookups are available.
Non-Waterfront sites: $20 per day. Water and electric hookups are available.
Non-Waterfront site with water, electric and sewer hookups: $25 per day.
Limited boat slips are available for $5 per day on a first come/first served basis. These slips are
for campers only.
Restroom key deposit of $5 is required and will be refunded upon checkout. One key is issued
per campsite.
Cancellations made up to 72 hours prior to the date of the reservation will receive a refund,
less the $6.00 convenience fee. Cancellations made after that time will receive no refund.
CAMPSITE RULES
All campers must check in with the Park Manager.
Site is not to be unoccupied for more than 48 hours.
Site must be tidy so lawn mowing can be done.
Renters parking equipment must be contained on one (1) campsite.
Boat trailers must be parked in designated areas only - on your site or on top of the hill.
Five (5) mph speed limit throughout the park.
Campfires in designated areas only.
All litter must be placed in plastic bags (furnished by Thurston Park), tied and placed in the
dumpster.
Feeding of waterfowl is prohibited for health reasons.
Absolutely NO campers are allowed in the water within ten (10) feet of the boat launch
and/or dock. There are NO lifeguards. Swim at your own risk.
Mooring of boats and other recreational equipment at locations other than specific boat slips are
strictly at the risk and responsibility of the owner.

COURTEOUS CAMPING
We hope that all of our campers enjoy Thurston Park. Please be courteous of other campers.
NO LOUD MUSIC, NO PROFANITY, NO USE OF WEAPONS OR AIRGUNS, NO
FIREWORKS.
MODERATE DRINKING OF ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED AT CAMPSITES ONLY.
PUBLIC INTOXICATION WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND WILL BE REPORTED
TO THE POLICE.
Campers are responsible for securing all alcoholic beverages when not at their campsite.
At no time shall coolers containing alcoholic beverages be left unattended or unsecured.
QUIET HOURS ARE TO BE OBSERVED AND WILL BE ENFORCED FROM 11 PM - 7 AM.
PETS
Limit of two (2) pets per unit.
Pets must be leashed at all times and are NOT allowed in the restroom.
Length of leash shall not exceed six (6) feet.
Pet owners must clean up after their pet.
FISH CLEANING
Thurston Park provides a Fish Cleaning House. Fish must be cleaned and scaled on paper.
Soiled paper and fish cleanings must be placed in plastic bags, tied and deposited in the
barrel in the Fish Cleaning House.
Please keep the Fish Cleaning House clean.
The Park Manager, in conjunction with local law enforcement, has the authority to evict
campers who violate these rules, the local ordinances and/or State of Michigan laws.
Campers who are evicted from Thurston Park shall receive NO refunds and shall NOT be
allowed to return to Thurston Park for the remainder of the season.
