Young producer, composer and performing artist <strong>Javier</strong> <strong>Limón</strong> is already a <br />
legend of Latin American culture. <strong>Javier</strong> <strong>Limón</strong> (Madrid, 1973) graduated from <br />
the Madrid Royal Conservatory, where he studied piano and guitar. He is an <br />
active composer and producer who began composing for flamenco artists but <br />
has since expanded his reach to Latin jazz musicians and Cuban artists. <br />
His many composition and production credits include major albums by <br />
renowned artists such as Paco de Lucía, Bebo Valdes, El Cigala, Enrique <br />
Morente, Wynton Marsalis, and the acclaimed Spanish singer Concha Buika <br />
among many others.
Recording from Bogota to Paris and New York to <br />
Palestine, the artist incorporates a decidedly <br />
international vibe in his take on the traditions of <br />
Flamenco. <br />
Raised in Spain, Limon traveled to New York City <br />
at an early age to train in the arts schools of the <br />
US. It was there that he was discovered for his <br />
potent and powerful lyricism and composition.<br />

Limon has gone on to win a total of seven Latin <br />
GRAMMY’s, one GRAMMY and many more <br />
nominations. <br />
<strong>Javier</strong> <strong>Limón</strong> has combined several professional <br />
occupations in the world of art and <br />
communication. Although his core activity has <br />
been focused on composition, production and art <br />
direction on all types of projects, from albums to <br />
film scores and tv shows among others, his work <br />
as a communicator and teacher is likewise <br />
remarkable.<br />
Currently he blends his artistic commitments with <br />
solidarity projects and with his work as a teacher <br />
and artistic director of the Mediterranean Institute <br />
at the prestigious Berklee College of <strong>Music</strong>.<br />

Entre2aguas is a music documentary directed by <strong>Javier</strong> <strong>Limón</strong>, one of the most renowned music<br />
producers in Spain, in search of musical connections between two worlds: the Mediterranean cultures<br />
and the American cultures.<br />
Almost forty years ago the course of flamenco music changed by chance. In Peru, Paco de Lucía<br />
discovered the cajon drum and incorporated it to his music and now the cajon drum is considered by<br />
many a flamenco instrument. This event was the starting point for this documentary, which reflects the<br />
ongoing encounter between two cultures: the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Also exploring the<br />
current 'world music' in some of these countries from different points of view.<br />
The human stories, landscapes, gastronomy or any other source of inspiration is valid to get to know<br />
the music, and the people of a country. Participating artists in these documentary series are Avishai<br />
Cohen, Antonio Carmona, Oscar de Leon, Guinga, Alejandro Sanz, Tito Paris or Carminho among<br />
