Term III commenced and continued in traditional
Aloysian fashion with ongoing Year Functions and
Class Masses. It is a great tribute to the Class
Coordinators and their support teams for their effort in
organising not only their scheduled year functions but
additional activities. Without their assistance the Aloysian
spirit would not continue to grow.
The 2006 P & F Committe members at the Ball
The Parents and Friends’ major event “The St Aloysius’
Five Star Ball” was held at the InterContinental Hotel in
August. The months of preparation that goes into an event
of this magnitude paid off as it truly was a magnificent
extravaganza. The venue, the food, the band and of course
the company made the night, particularly for the Year 12
parents leaving the School, a night to be remembered.
Thank you to The Ball Committee, members of the Parents
and Friends’ Association and the St Aloysius’ College staff
whose contribution made the night such a success.
The third P& F Forum for the year was held in conjunction
with the Parent Enrichment Programme. The topic was
“How to Live (Almost Happily) with a Teenager”. Caryn
Walsh, our guest speaker gave a very thought provoking
and enlightening presentation.
The annual Jesuit Indian Bazaar was held in mid
September with an ever increasing Aloysian involvement.
Thank you to the many parents who helped by way of
giving of their time to make either gift items or cakes to sell
on the day or coordinate and run the stalls.

Towards the end of October the P&F hosted the
International Teachers and Staff Morning Tea. It was a
great opportunity to thank, on behalf of the parent body,
the teachers and staff for their significant contribution to
College life and involvement with our sons’ education.
In November the new P&F Committee for 2007 were
elected. We wish Jana Carrozzi and the Committee all the
best in their endeavours next year.
Finally I take this opportunity to thank the outgoing
P&F Committee of 2006 - Tom Carroll (Chairman), Jana
Carrozzi (Vice-President, President Elect), Judy Emanuel
(Vice-President), Dare Skinner (Treasurer), Jenny Greaves
(Treasurer), Jill Jenkins (Secretary) and Joanne Perry
(Secretary). The Committee gave so generously of their
time and made an enormous contribution to maintaining
the Aloysian spirit.
