Another busy year has come to an end with every
year level fully booked for next year as well as
Year 7, 2008. Just over 500 boys sat entrance
examinations this year which were held in March. Interviews
were all held in May and offers of places went out in late
May. We now have waitlists for every Year in the school
for next year.
Orientation Day was held in November this year for all
new boys starting in the Junior School as well as for Year 7
next year. The boys participated in sporting and classroom
activities including Science, Visual Arts, Music, IT and
Languages and were assisted by Prefects and other senior
students who managed their group for the day. Parents
enjoyed a morning tea and the Junior School new parents
had an information session as an introduction as to what
they can expect for next year.
Open Day will be held next year on Sunday 4 March
2007 from 12noon till 3pm at both Junior and Senior
School campuses. A variety and demonstrations and
displays will be held, there will be activities for children,
and staff, current parents and students of the College will
be available to conduct guided tours of both campuses.
There is no need to make a booking, just come along and
enjoy the afternoon.
All applicants need to sit an entrance examination in
the year prior to anticipated entry for Years 3, 4 and 5,
and two years prior to anticipated entry for Year 7. All
entrance examination dates have been set for next year
and these, along with closing dates for applications are
listed opposite.
Academic scholarships are no longer offered from
2007, so no scholarship exam will be held in 2007.
However, the College has a Means-Tested Bursary Scheme
to offer students an opportunity to avail themselves of a
Jesuit education in circumstances when such enrolment is
not affordable or sustainable. A number of these bursaries
are offered to boys entering Year 7 and Year 11 in 2008
and are reviewed annually. Please contact the Registrar if

St Aloysius’ College
St Aloysius’ College is an independent Catholic School for
boys in Years 3 to 12 conducted by the Society of Jesus
(Jesuit Fathers and Brothers). Students desirous of attending
the College should be sympathetic to, and supportive of the

academic record and be willing to participate actively in the
