NEW CONSULTANT DEBUT SCRIPT ~ 1.5 HOURS<br />

*All guests must be confirmed <strong>by</strong> the Director or Recruiter 5 days prior to the debut*<br />

1:00 Welcome guests. Have new consultant do Satin Hands and Satin lips on them at the<br />

sink as they arrive. Have them get refreshments and find a seat in a semi-circle. Pass out<br />

pens, registration form and wish list to each guest.<br />

1:15 Congratulate, sash (or have her cut ribbon), and pin new consultant. “I am not her<br />

boss, I am her coach. Since we in <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong> are BIG on stage time, we are going to put<br />

this Sash on her and have her practice the stage wave. As a <strong>New</strong> Beauty consultant she is<br />

entitled to LOTS of bonuses and freebies, and I don’t know about you, but if it’s FREE, it’s<br />

for me! Say that with me, ‘If it’s FREE, it’s for me!”<br />

Have the NC give everyone a raffle ticket; explain that throughout the debut they will have<br />

an opportunity to get FREE tickets and then win FREE prizes from ticket drawings. “Now,<br />

how would you like to get your second ticket Ok, I want you to go around and introduce<br />

yourself and tell us how you know the NC and one reason your feel she will be successful<br />

as a <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong> Beauty <strong>Consultant</strong>.” Then pass out the second ticket to everyone. *HAVE<br />

DRAWING*<br />

1:30 NC tells her 1 minute “I Story” (where I was before <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong>, why I decided to become<br />

a MKBC); Recruiter tells her 1 minute “I Story” (where I was before <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong>, why I<br />

decided to become a MKBC, what keeps me building my MK business). Tell a few facts<br />

about the company. Give them 10 minutes to ask questions about MK to get more tickets.<br />

*HAVE DRAWING*<br />

1:45 “It is very clear to me that you love NC, so I am going to assume that you want to<br />

successfully launch her business – can I see a show of hands (NC give everyone with their<br />

hands raised a ticket). There are 3 important ways to launch her business and I am going<br />

to give you the opportunity to help in each area.<br />

First – NC has to learn all about different kinds of skin/faces/people, etc. and the BEST<br />

way to learn is <strong>by</strong> practicing on a variety of living faces. It’s just like riding a bike – remember<br />

when you were learn to ride a bike Did you learn <strong>by</strong> watching someone ride<br />

No, you learned <strong>by</strong> doing it yourself with someone running right beside you. Well, I am<br />

going run right beside NC. She needs to practice on 30 faces <strong>by</strong> giving them FREE make-


overs. And ‘If it’s FREE ---------‘. Right! How many will let her practice on you, and at the<br />

same time you will be able to try all of the products for FREE!” (NC give everyone with their<br />

hands raised a ticket). *HAVE DRAWING* “Great! Now when she gets her 30 faces done in<br />

30 days, she earns this beautiful Power Start pin – it is powerfully beautiful, isn’t it Ok, I<br />

just did some quick math and there are X number of you here tonight. And she needs to do<br />

how many (30). Right. If I gave you a voucher to eat free at a restaurant, how many of you<br />

would take a friend with you See where I am going with this If each of you would share<br />

the makeover with a friend, NC would be doing X number of faces. But you all would still not<br />

be getting anything FREE. And ‘If it’s FREE-------‘. Right. So if you share your makeover with<br />

at least 2 friends, you can some free stuff. We will LET you share it with 3 to get even more<br />

FREE stuff, but not with any more because she only has 4 mirrors. You will then be a hostess,<br />

and you will get FREE stuff, and ‘If it’s FREE------‘ Right. But that’s not all – you could help<br />

her win this Pink Ice Ring TODAY if we leave here with at least 8 parties booked. NC, how<br />

much do you want this ring (NC shares her desire for the ring). Now see how easy this is<br />

going to be How many of you will share your makeover with at least 2 guests Raise your<br />

hands. (NC give everyone with their hands raised a ticket). OK, here’s what we are going to<br />

do – When we break for more refreshments in just a few minutes, NC is going to go around<br />

with her date book and the Pink Bubbles and you can put your name in one of these circles<br />

along with the number 1, 2, or 3 and let her know how many you are sharing your appt with<br />

so that she can be prepared. *HAVE DRAWING*<br />

2:00 “I had said that there were 3 ways you can help NC get started. Here is the second<br />

way; to buy product. Now you are thinking, I will just buy it at my party, and that is fine, but<br />

we want you to buy something today because what we sell today determines how many<br />

prizes and bonuses NC will get from MK and from me. We have a sales goal of $600, because<br />

then she will get lots of FREE stuff! And ‘If it’s FREE------“ Right. (Pass out Wish List)<br />

Now you don’t have to buy everything you are going to put on your Wish List, but you will<br />

then have a reminder for later on, like at your party! We are going to go over some of the<br />

best products in just a minute. And you won’t have to break the bank, because we have 90<br />

products for $10 or less! How about that! But here is something really cool, if purchase $40<br />

or more today, you will get this (PCP gift) FREE. And ‘If it’s FREE------“ Right. If everyone<br />

here makes a $___ purchase today, NC will meet her $600 goal! Now let me give you a few<br />

minutes to ask me a question about any cosmetic issue you may have. (Then show fragrances<br />

– Bella, Belara, 4 Eau de toilettes; show and tell about Ultimate Miracle Set). You will get to<br />

actually try the entire Ultimate Miracle set at YOUR party, as well as a color look with 3 eye<br />

shades, cheek color, and lipstick.<br />

Now the third way that you can help NC is this. After she holds her 8 parties, she will<br />

get to spend a “Sharing day” with me in the Pink Cadillac!! We will share information about<br />

MK with 5 of you so that she can learn more about the company and opportunity. When she<br />

calls to see if you would be willing to give her 45 minutes, who would be willing to help her<br />

with the last phase of her training You get a ticket for this too!! (Raise hands) (NC give everyone<br />

with their hands raised a ticket). *HAVE DRAWING*


2:20 Great! We are all done. We will have our final drawing for ALL of these gifts at 2:30.<br />

Right now, NC will come around and let you pick a Pink Bubble in her date book and tell her<br />

how many friends you will invite. I will be coming around to help you complete your orders,<br />

so think about which items from your Wish List you want to take home today! Please fill out<br />

these tickets completely, even if you think NC has all of your current information. And then<br />

we will do the final drawings!!
