Battery Cell Bypass Switch
PRODUCT TECHNICAL DATA SHEET
DESCRIPTION:
The Battery Cell Bypass Switch is a single-pole,
double-throw (SPDT) configuration. The switch is
engineered to work when battery cells fail in remote,
inaccessible installations and when your mission
requires a fast, reliable bypass switch to detour around
compromised areas. When a fault surfaces, our
Battery Cell Bypass Switch takes less than 25
milliseconds for make-before-break contact to
bypass up to 400 Amps of current.
APPLICATION:
The Battery Cell Bypass Switch is used for sensing
a failure of a cell and providing a high current
bypassing circuit when Lithium Ion Batteries fail
and cannot be serviced or replaced and must be
bypassed.
• Multipurpose
• Works equally well from deep
space to underwater missions
PROPERTIES:
• Switch circuit can carry up to 400A of
continuous current
• Single-Pole, Double-Throw (SPDT)
Make-Before-Break Power Switch
• High reliability and long service life
• Low power switch resistance
• Refurbishable by replacing an initiator
• Lightweight
• Extended operating temperature range
• Space-rated materials
