<strong>The</strong> <strong>AUR</strong> curriculum<br />
prepared to live and work across cultures<br />
<strong>AUR</strong> students have the ability to study at another university<br />
<strong>in</strong> <strong>Rome</strong> or experience university study <strong>in</strong> another country.<br />
Students with the requisite Italian language ability may<br />
arrange for part <strong>of</strong> their study at the nearby Libera<br />
Università Maria SS. Assunta, known more popularly as<br />
“LUMSA”. LUMSA is one <strong>of</strong> Italy’s most prestigious private liberal<br />
arts university and <strong>AUR</strong> students may choose from a broad<br />
array <strong>of</strong> courses. Our <strong>AUR</strong> Abroad program provides students<br />
with the opportunity to study at well respected universities <strong>in</strong><br />
other countries <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g the USA, Costa Rica, Ch<strong>in</strong>a, Ecuador,<br />
Greece, Jordan, Morocco, Belgium, Germany, Peru and many<br />
others.<br />
<strong>AUR</strong> also helps students with locat<strong>in</strong>g practical career-related<br />
work for credit experiences to better prepare them for the<br />
workplace. Popularly called <strong>in</strong>ternships or practicum<br />
experiences, students ga<strong>in</strong> practical work experience and credit<br />
towards their degree. <strong>The</strong>se important experiences can be had<br />
<strong>in</strong> Italy, Europe or the Americas.<br />
Participation <strong>in</strong> any or all <strong>of</strong> these opportunities certa<strong>in</strong>ly helps<br />
make a student stand out <strong>in</strong> today’s competitive academic and<br />
work<strong>in</strong>g world.<br />

<strong>AUR</strong>EA Program (<strong>AUR</strong> English for Academia)<br />
is designed as a bridge program for students whose<br />
English language skills need development <strong>in</strong> order<br />
to benefit from a full academic curriculum at <strong>AUR</strong>.<br />
Students will develop speak<strong>in</strong>g, listen<strong>in</strong>g, read<strong>in</strong>g,<br />
and writ<strong>in</strong>g skills <strong>in</strong> English while attend<strong>in</strong>g selected<br />
credit-based General Education courses at <strong>AUR</strong>. Upon<br />
successful completion <strong>of</strong> this full-time two semester<br />
program, students will be ready to cont<strong>in</strong>ue their studies<br />
at <strong>AUR</strong> <strong>in</strong> the academic program <strong>of</strong> their choice.<br />
Students may apply directly <strong>in</strong>to the <strong>AUR</strong>EA program<br />
or be <strong>of</strong>fered admission to the program on the recommendation<br />
<strong>of</strong> the admission committee.<br />
