Diverse Faculty
Business Studies faculty come to AUR from diverse
educational, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and from
various parts of the world, including the US, Greece,
Britain, Ireland and India. Some are life-long scholars
and researchers. Others are business people who leave
their offices to share their real-world experience with
our students in our classrooms and several are managers
who have become full-time academics.

Our program has a global focus with a dozen courses
devoted to international issues and students from
30 countries contributing their perspectives. Our
approach ensures extensive exposure to the social and
cultural challenges of living and working in today’s
global economy.
A Curriculum with an International Focus
Our program introduces students to all the functional
and quantitative areas of business studies. Our curriculum
is grounded in accounting, finance, marketing, and
operations. Students learn about prevailing management
theories as well as issues related to legal and ethical concerns
in the international economy.
Upper-level courses incorporate case analyses, group
projects and creative problem solving. All students
spend their senior year completing two courses serving
as the academic culmination of the program: Decision
Making and the capstone course, Strategic Management,
Learning Off-Campus
AUR brings the business community into the classroom
and takes the study of business out into the world.
Students majoring in Business Administration earn
credit with internships in one of the many international
organizations or corporations headquartered in Rome.
Our highest achieving students may also choose to
spend a semester at Emory University’s Goizueta
Business School or the Copenhagen Business School
in Denmark.
Each semester private and public sector leaders participate
in AUR’s Business Roundtable discussions, and
Business Speaker Series, sharing their expertise and
