Service Description: Newborn and<br />
Family Drop-in Service<br />
Free Queensland Health <strong>community</strong><br />
based service that supports early<br />
parenting, offering a range of services<br />
that specifically target the first<br />
eight weeks of an infant’s life. These<br />
services include; infant weights and<br />
developmental checks, information<br />
and support about parenting, infant<br />
feeding, infant sleep and settling,<br />
postnatal depression and supportive<br />
services. Small group parenting<br />
information sessions provide an<br />
opportunity for parents to socialise<br />
and meet with other parents. Plenty<br />
of parking including disabled enables<br />
easy access to this service. Parents can<br />
just drop-in to this ‘Well Baby’ service,<br />
and talk to a midwife or child health<br />
nurse. No appointment required!<br />
