Volunteers is a not for profit
organisation that recruits and refers
volunteers to other non-profit
organisations in the Burnett / Wide
Bay / Cooloola region. A primary
focus is to enhance the skill base
of individual volunteers and the
member organisations with whom
volunteers are placed. This ‘capacity
building’ is delivered in the form of
short courses - with both technical
IT skills using our training facility in
Bundaberg and with training in the
management of organisations who
utilise volunteers.
Computer training is very affordable
and incorporates small class sizes
with hands on training for Microsoft
Office applications, MYOB and
Internet applications. Targeted group
training can also be developed to
meet the specific needs of employers.
Wide Bay Volunteers offers short
courses covering various aspects of
the management of the not for profit
sector, including
• Volunteer management
• Events management
• Networking within communities
• Working with people
• Resume Writing
• Interview Techniques
Air conditioned training room
facilities are available with
computers, data projector, tea/coffee
making facilities, TV, DVD and can
cater for up to 20 people.
Eleven public internet access sites are
also available at one of the cheapest
rates in town.
