Service Description: The Childers<br />
Neighbourhood Centre is a<br />
<strong>community</strong> HUB –a variety of services<br />
operate from the centre, these being:<br />
Isis Child and Family Support, Isis<br />
Community Care, Childers Meals on<br />
Wheel, Childers Emergency Relief<br />
Program, and Centacare Family<br />
Counsellor. The Neighbourhood<br />
Centres role in the <strong>community</strong> is<br />
to offer <strong>community</strong> information/<br />
support services, <strong>community</strong><br />
education/workshops, free tax help,<br />
Emergency Relief, meeting place<br />
for Social groups, Card groups and<br />
visiting agencies. We are a Legal Aid<br />
referral Agency, offer Medical Aide<br />
Hire - wheelchairs, walking frame,<br />
crutches, over toilet chair, walking<br />
stick. We also provide assistance<br />
with photocopying, letter writing,<br />
resumes, laminating, assistance with<br />
filling out forms, an advocacy service,<br />
new residents kits. A variety of other<br />
assistance is available please feel free<br />
to contact us. Justice of the Peace is<br />
also available. A service of <strong>Bundaberg</strong><br />

Solutions Inc is a non profit<br />
organisation committed to the<br />
research, development and<br />

Service Description: We are a group<br />
of volunteers – age no barrier – who<br />
are maintaining/repairing graves at<br />
the <strong>Bundaberg</strong> General Cemetery.<br />
Some volunteers are providing the<br />
labouring work whilst we also have<br />
experienced researchers. Each<br />
grave that is selected must have<br />
research provided to council to find<br />
a relative – direct descendant to four<br />
generations. We generally meet on<br />
some Saturdays and Tuesdays for<br />
working bees. (flexible depending on<br />
volunteer available and project.) Each<br />
six months a calendar of dates is sent<br />
to volunteers. The work has simple<br />
and complex aspects but all members<br />
can be accommodated.<br />
We are not an incorporated group<br />
but work within the confines of the<br />
<strong>Bundaberg</strong> <strong>Regional</strong> <strong>Council</strong>. All<br />
volunteers are most welcome and<br />
are required to undertake a standard<br />
induction at the Cemetery office. All<br />
