Service Description: The Pyjama<br />
Foundation was founded in 2004<br />
to support foster cares and provide<br />
extra help for our <strong>community</strong>’s<br />
most vulnerable children. Our goal<br />
is to alleviate some of the pressue<br />
on foster carers in a practical way,<br />
focussing specifically on improving<br />
the children’s literacy skills. The<br />
Pyjama Foundation recruits, screen,<br />
trains and supports volunteers from<br />
the <strong>community</strong> - our Pyjama Angels.<br />
Pyjama Angels are matched with a<br />
child in care and visit them once a<br />
week for an hour to help them with<br />
their literacy<br />
