Service Description: The St Vincent<br />
de Paul Society has been helping<br />
Queenslanders in need since 1894.<br />
Every day the Society’s 8,000<br />
volunteers and members help<br />
those who are struggling to take<br />
control of their lives whilst restoring<br />
their dignity; providing a hand up,<br />
not just a hand out. Young adult<br />
volunteers are a unique group of<br />
young people who are willing to<br />
share their precious time and skills<br />
with people in the <strong>community</strong> and<br />
in overseas aid. The Society runs<br />
youth based activities and has had<br />
particular success running Buddies<br />
Days monthly, with the assistance<br />
of <strong>Bundaberg</strong> youth, to assist<br />
