Gustomer Dem<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> Demographics - ln light of the 2008 national economic slow down <strong>and</strong> the reduced consumption<br />

experience in <strong>FY</strong> 2009, management conducted a review in <strong>FY</strong> 2009 of water <strong>and</strong> sewer regional consumption <strong>and</strong> demographic<br />

trends. The review examined the various factors affecting water dem<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> the underlying demographics in the District <strong>and</strong> the<br />

region to assess whether there was a corresponding effect on water dem<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> identifiT the experiences of similar eastem U.S.<br />

systems. While there are various factors that may impact water dem<strong>and</strong>, we reviewed a few of them as highlighted below.<br />
