4 - Positions<br />

• Administer all aspects of insurance <strong>and</strong> risk<br />

management, including: securing <strong>and</strong><br />

safeguarding companywide insurance policies<br />

managing insurance claims <strong>and</strong> loss control<br />

maintaining databases of losses/claims <strong>and</strong><br />

insurance procedures, <strong>and</strong> assisting senior<br />

management with enterprise risk management<br />

- Ensure compliance with legislation, industry<br />

practice <strong>and</strong> market requirements<br />

-Organize underwriting data requests,<br />

complete insurance applications <strong>and</strong> create<br />

underwriting submissions for all major<br />

Authority insurance renewals<br />

• Manage all claims, including<br />

workers compensation <strong>and</strong> tort<br />

claims for Authority Operations for the<br />

Rolling Owner Controlled Insurance<br />

Program (ROCIP)<br />

• Ensure adequate insurance reserve<br />

levels<br />

• Coordinates communication <strong>and</strong><br />

investigation activities between<br />

departments <strong>and</strong> the insurance<br />

administrator<br />

• Manage subrogation <strong>and</strong> negotiate<br />

settlements<br />

• Conduct internal investigations for<br />

general liability claims<br />

• Identify <strong>and</strong> evaluate risks<br />

• Perform ongoing risk assessments of<br />

operations<br />

• Assist with the coordination <strong>and</strong> facilitation<br />

of addressing loss prevention<br />

recommendations from <strong>DC</strong> WASA's<br />

insurance carrier<br />

·Perform loss analysis <strong>and</strong> issue reports to<br />

division management<br />

·Identify trends <strong>and</strong> work with our third<br />

party administrator <strong>DC</strong>WASA Safety Office<br />

<strong>and</strong> others to create solutions for<br />

improvement on consistent basis
