Eddie Curtis set himself a 

challenge: to create new 

works on a scale outside 

of his normal working 

practice. He has made 

large hand-built and wheel 

thrown works in both 

stoneware and porcelain. 

 

Joining Eddie’s work in the 

gallery is Margaret Curtis’ 

unique collection of pots, 

many of which will pay 

homage to the ceremony 

of tea. 

Alongside these new works 

Eddie is showing a small 

collection of stoneware 

vessels which were bisque 

fired for him in Anagama 

kilns by five world class 

international wood firing 

potters: Shozo Michikawa, 

Pascal Geoffroy, Rizu 

Takehashi, Linda de Nil, 

and Uwe Lollman.
