NOTICE INVITING TENDER (NIT)<br />
1.0 The <strong>Spices</strong> <strong>Board</strong>, Palarivattom, Kochi under the Ministry of Commerce and<br />
Industry, Govt. of <strong>India</strong> proposes to develop a SPICES PARK in an area of about<br />
125 Acres at Edlapadu Mandal in Guntur Dist., Andhra Pradesh. Feat Technical<br />
Services Pvt. Ltd (hereinafter referred to as FEATS) has been appointed as<br />
Consultants for the development of the said <strong>Spices</strong> Park.<br />
Sealed item rate tenders are invited on behalf of <strong>Spices</strong> <strong>Board</strong> for Construction of<br />
O H Water tank, U G Sump and SITC of Water distribution system in the said<br />
<strong>Spices</strong> Park. The estimated cost of the work is Rs.110 lakhs (approximately).<br />
2.0 Eligibility Criteria<br />
i) The tenderer should have executed satisfactorily at least one similar work<br />
as primary contractor in single contract of value not less than Rs.60 lakhs<br />
in the three years period from April 2007 to October 2010. (Copy of work<br />
order/agreement and completion certificate showing executed value, date of<br />
completion attested by notary public to be submitted as documentary<br />
proof.)<br />
ii) The annual turnover of the tenderer should not be less than Rs. 200 lakhs<br />
during any one of the last three years. ie, 2007- 08 or 2008 - 09 or 2009-10.<br />
(Copies of audited balance sheets or income tax returns for the above<br />
period attested by notary public are to be submitted as documentary proof.)<br />
3.0 The tender documents shall be issued to eligible applicants on submission<br />
of documentary proof as mentioned in Eligibility Criteria (Clause 2.0) along<br />
with payment of Rs.3,000/- (Rupees three thousand only) by way of Demand<br />
Draft payable at Ernakulam drawn in favour of Feat Technical Services Pvt.<br />
Ltd. The application form and qualifying documents along with DD for issue<br />
of tender documents shall be submitted on or before 22.12.2010.<br />
4.0 The invitation for bids is open to all bidders registered with CPWD or State PWD,<br />
or MES or Public Sector Undertakings.<br />
5.0 The works are required to be completed within four months. This period shall<br />
be reckoned from the fifteenth day after the date on which the Engineer-in-Charge<br />
issues written orders to commence the work or from the date of handing over of<br />
the site, whichever is later.<br />
Not more than one tender shall be submitted by a bidder or by a firm of bidders.<br />
More than one concern in which an individual is interested as Proprietor and/or<br />
Partner shall tender for the execution of the same works. If they do so all such<br />
tenders shall be liable to be rejected.<br />
6.0 Tenderers are advised to inspect and examine the site and its surroundings and<br />
satisfy themselves before submitting their tenders as to the nature of the ground<br />
and sub-soil (as far as is practicable), the form and nature of the site, the means<br />
of access to the site, the accommodation they may require and in general shall<br />
themselves obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other<br />
circumstances which may influence or effect their tender. A tenderer shall be<br />

deemed to have full knowledge of the site, whether he inspects it or not and no<br />
extra charges consequent on any misunderstanding or otherwise shall be allowed.<br />
7.0 Tenders shall be received by Feat Technical Services Pvt. Ltd upto 15.00 hrs on<br />
29.12.2010 and shall be opened on the same day at 15.30 hrs in the presence of<br />
tenderers who may be present.<br />
8.0 The tender shall be accompanied by Earnest Money of Rupees One lakh ten<br />
thousand only by Demand Draft on any Nationalised Bank in favour of<br />
<strong>Spices</strong> <strong>Board</strong>, payable at Ernakulam.<br />
9.0 Tender shall be submitted in two separate sealed covers as given below<br />
superscribing the name of work, address of Accepting Authority and the address<br />
of the tenderers.<br />
Cover 1 - shall contain Demand Draft towards EMD<br />
Cover 2 - shall contain duly filled tender documents signed and sealed<br />
in all the pages without any conditions.<br />
Note: Cover 2 containing tender documents shall be opened after<br />
verification of the EMD submitted in Cover 1.<br />
10.0 SPICES BOARD/CONSULTANTS will return the earnest money without any<br />
interest to the unsuccessful tenderers.<br />
