Today in worship
This morning we begin our new sermon series “Live Wire: Church, Family, Friends“
Vic Pentz will preach at 8:45, 10:00 and 11:15 a.m. The scripture for today’s sermon,
“Void if Detached (How God Works through His Church),” is Ephesians 1:3-11, 18-23.
In all three services this morning, we celebrate the sacrament of baptism. Baptism
of infants is one way we look to the future. As we welcome these children into our
fellowship, we also pledge that we will nurture their faith in the hope that they will one
day profess their own faith in Jesus Christ.
Today in the Sanctuary services, we will hear from Rev. Chad Hale, Founder and
Executive Director of Georgia Avenue Community Ministry, a cooperative ministry that
provides food to those in need in a way that affirms dignity and builds community.
TODAY IS veteran’s Day
This morning we honor our nation’s veterans, past and present, and invite you to join with us as
we lift them in prayer. Refer to pages 14-15 of our bulletin for a complete list of our active duty
service men and women, and include them in your prayer life this morning and throughout
the week.

Flower Guild Invitation
Flowers can truly brighten someone’s day. On most Mondays, the Flower Guild makes
arrangements from the Sunday services flowers. These arrangements are free and located
on the second floor close to Fellowship Hall. If you know of someone that needs cheering up,
please take an arrangement.

mrs. mamie ruth

Mrs. Mamie Ruth Tanner has retired after 45 years of
lovingly caring for and sharing God’s love and word with
generations of our Peachtree children and families.
Join us as we honor her during the 8:45 a.m. Sanctuary
service on November 18th and for a reception in the
Williams Center following the service.
Please send a note/card of appreciation and congratulations
to her at the church, place it in the box on the God’s Little
Garden (nursery) front desk, or bring it with you to the
reception.
Please also bring or send a photo of your family to add
to the photo collage. After the reception, the photos will
be compiled in a book for Mrs. Mamie Ruth. Photos can be
mailed to Children & Family Ministry at the church
brought to the God’s Little Garden desk, or to the
reception. Please be sure to identify people in the photo
on the back of each photo. Feel free to include then and
now photos.
