Jennifer E. Bond (SHP ’00) graduated
from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing
and is working as a Registered Nurse
at the University of Virginia Children’s
Hospital
Joe Brady (SHP ’00) graduated from
Santa Clara University where he
studied Religion and Theater.
Karla Gurley (SHP ’00) spent time
this summer in South Africa on a
Worship Experience where she visited
Cape Town and Johannesburg. She
spent time in Juvenile Detention
Centers, Children’s Hospitals, schools,
youth ministry services. She spent
considerable time in a foster home,
called Villa of Hope, with orphaned
and abused children, as well as those
who have contracted the HIV/AIDS
virus. She presented on the topics of
abstinence and drug abuse, as well as
tutored and helped in every way at the
Villa of Hope.
Gavin Heslet (SHP ’00) graduated
from USC film School in 2004. He
is a production Designer for the Sci
Fi channel and is starting his own
production company with a college
roommate. He currently lives in LA.
Joshua Jackson (SHP ’00) has recently
joined the ad sales staff at MTV
Networks in Santa Monica, and loves
living by the ocean in Hermosa Beach.

Jeremy Law (SHP ’00) is earning a
PhD in Applied Condensed Matter
Physics at UCSD.
Julia Riechert (SHP ’00) graduated
from UC Hastings law school and
passed the California Bar Exam in
November 2007. She is working at
Orrick in the Employment Group.
Liam Twomey (SHP ’00) married Julie
Dater and recently graduated from a
California Police Academy. The couple
are now living in Boise, ID. Liam is the
head of manufacturing and shipping at
Gemini Technologies (www.gemtech.

Rebecca Zigterman (SJSH ’96, SHP
’00) is working for Stanford University
as a lawyer in the Student Housing
department.
Bryan Hermannsson (SHP ’01) works at
UCSF in the Radiology Department.
Nicole Kaukas (SHP ’01) is in her
last year at USD Law School and is
interning with the San Diego District
Attorney’s office.
Camille Konopnicki (SJSH ’97, SHP
’01) is a graduate student in the
Chemistry Department at UCSD. This
fall she attended her first conference in
North Carolina for the Superfund Basic
Research Program. She presented a
poster paper on using a human reporter
gene system assay to test complex
environmental toxicant mixtures along
the U.S.-Mexico border.
Christina Belen (SHP ’02) graduated
form University of the Pacific with a BS
in Biology and then from Golden Gate
University with an MBA.
Karen Casperson (SHP ’02) studied
Philosophy and Psychology at UC
Santa Cruz and graduated with a B.S.
She plans on traveling in 2008.
