Acupuncture and Emotional Wellness
with Shoba Satya, LAc
The height and breadth of what acupuncture can do is a big mystery to many Americans.
Truth be told, patients often come to acupuncture for treatment of pain and leave saying, “I
don’t know how it happened, but I feel so much stronger emotionally.” Over and over again,
patients report that a situation that used to send them into fits of rage or downward spirals
of depression no longer affects them as deeply or as long as it once did. They have more
emotional resilience. Licensed acupuncturist Shoba Satya will explore this topic, answer your
questions and perhaps pose a few of her own.
Breast Health with
Thermography
with Dr. Kelley Reis, ND
with Dr. Brenda McCool at Happy Valley
Breast cancer prevention is the best cure for the disease. The use of thermographic imaging
is extremely helpful in detecting early changes that may lead to breast cancer, sometimes as
early as 10 years before it can be detected on a mammogram. This FDA-approved, noninvasive
screening tool uses a specialized camera to measure extremely subtle temperature changes
on the skin’s surface that correlate physiologically to underlying dysfunction and disease. It is
helpful in identifying early disease processes, especially breast cancer, as well as the origin
of pain and physical injuries that go undetected by standard diagnostics. With thermography,
there is no contact, no radiation and no contraindications, and it is useful in assessing any
condition. Dr. Kelley Reis and Dr. Brenda McCool will discuss how thermography works and
how it provides the golden opportunity to treat and prevent disease.
