OFFICE ORDER
The Dy. Director General of Meteorology (Administration & Stores) hereby appoints the under
mentioned Lower Division Clerks as Upper Division Clerks on the basis of Competitive Examination held
in August, 2009 with immediate effect or from the date they assume charge as Upper Division Clerk (Pay
band: Rs.5200 -20200 + Grade pay: Rs.2400).

The promotions of the above persons is subject to the condition that they have passed the typing test
at the minimum speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi.
In case any of the promotee refuses promotion for whatever reasons will be considered for
promotion in accordance with the instructions contained in the D.P. & A.R., U.M. NO. 22034/3/81-Estt.(d),
dated 1 st October, 1981. Failure to accept the promotion would also entail the office to take the appropriate
action against the person concerned for refusing to obey orders, in case, the reasons adduced by the official
are not acceptable to the appointing authority.
The promotee should give an option for fixation of pay on promotion within one month from the
date of issue of promotion order as required vide Department of Personnel and Training O.M. No. 1/12/97-
Estt. (Pay-I) dated, the 23 rd April, 1999 circulated under DGM UOI No. E(3) 134/0C/97 dated, the 10th
September, 1999 and MoF (DoE ) (Implementation Cell )No. F No.1/1/ 2008-IC dated 13 th Sept., 2008.
Option once exercised shall be final. If, person concerned does not give any option within the prescribed
period, it will be presumed that he/ she has opted to get his/ her pay fixed directly from the date of
promotion.
Promotion list may kindly be scrutinized in the first instance and errors, if any, pointed out to this
office. It may also be ensured that the promotee is cleared from the Vigilance Angle and Integrity point of
view before the promotion order is actually delivered to him/ her.
6. Seniority of the promotee will be fixed in accordance with the Govt. orders on the subject.
