<strong>Redditch</strong> – a great<br />

place to do business<br />

REDDITCH <strong>Borough</strong> <strong>Council</strong> ‘s Economic<br />

Development Unit has teamed up with<br />

the local Chamber of Commerce to<br />

launch the <strong>Redditch</strong> Business Expo.<br />

The free to attend event takes place on<br />

Tuesday 11th May at the Southcrest<br />

Manor Hotel and is being sponsored by<br />

NEW College and Hayward Wright.<br />

As well as being able to talk to owners<br />

and managers from a broad range of<br />

industries, visitors will be able to speak to<br />

the <strong>Council</strong>’s Economic Development,<br />

Procurement, Business Rates and<br />

Planning teams. In addition there will be<br />

seminars on topics such as sales and<br />

marketing as well as sector specific<br />

events.<br />

<strong>Borough</strong> <strong>Council</strong>, said: “We have much<br />

to be proud of in <strong>Redditch</strong> with a large<br />

ENTREPRENEURS have been given help<br />

to grow their businesses with a new<br />

grant from the <strong>Council</strong>.<br />

The grant is available to businesses<br />

that have been trading for between<br />

18 months and five years and can be<br />

used to fund up to 50 per cent of a<br />

project which is designed to make a<br />

measurable difference to the business.<br />

The Business Booster Grant, which has<br />

a maximum value of £1,000 and is<br />

co-funded by <strong>Worcestershire</strong> County<br />

<strong>Council</strong>, can be used to help<br />

businesses access new markets,<br />

create a new job or purchase<br />

equipment that will improve the<br />

company’s viability.<br />

up the opportunity to get a Business<br />

Booster Grant.<br />

A NEW section of <strong>Redditch</strong> <strong>Borough</strong><br />

<strong>Council</strong>’s website has been launched<br />

specifically aimed at businesses.<br />

The pages provide up-to-date,<br />

comprehensive, easy to find<br />

information. There is a frequently<br />

asked questions section that takes<br />

you to relevant pages within the<br />

website.<br />

There is also a free online guide to<br />

help businesses continue to operate<br />

in a crisis. The guide has been put<br />

together by <strong>Worcestershire</strong> County<br />

<strong>Council</strong> and Redan International, a<br />

<strong>Redditch</strong>-based company, and has<br />

been designed to help businesses,<br />
