CCAI ANNOUNCES 2012 SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR WINNERS
Jakarta, 12 September 2012—Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI), a leading beverage company in Indonesia, has celebrated the
outstanding performance of its major suppliers through the CCAI Supplier of the Year program, and awarded Overall Supplier of the
Year to Frigoglass Indonesia, the leading player in the global Ice-Cold Merchandisers (Beverage Coolers) market.
CCAI awarded Supplier of the Year awards across eight categories: 1.Packaging and Ingredients; 2.Business Services;
3.Trade Equipment; 4. Plant and Equipment; 5.Information Technology & Telecommunications; 6.Account Manager of the Year; and
7. “CCAI Supplier of the Year”.“Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI) recent strong growth in Indonesia has definitely increased our
expectations in terms of Customer Service levels from our suppliers. The CCAI Supplier of the Year program is one of the tools we
are using to support our suppliers to help them deliver best practice solutions to improve service levels and operational
performance,” said Erich Rey, President Director Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia. .
“At CCAI, we realize that the relationship we have with our suppliers will play an increasingly critical role in our ability to
serve our customers. We are determined to work hard with all of our suppliers to have the most efficient, competitive, and innovative
relationship possible.”
This is the first “Supplier of the Year” program in Indonesia for the Australian-based company, aiming to recognize
excellent performance from their large range of suppliers, as well as to strengthen relationships with suppliers across all functions.
The qualification process started from March 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012, where each supplier submitted their Operating and
Innovation plans to develop efficiency, competitiveness, and innovation that are valuable to both companies.
Mr. Rey said that in winning CCAI’s 2012 Overall Supplier of the Year, the refrigeration supplier Frigoglass Indonesia had
comprehensively delivered on the criteria of the core objectives of the program but had also intimately engaged with our business to
pro-actively and comprehensively understand our requirements and delivered on these ahead of our expectations.
Mr Rey also paid tribute to the Supplier of the Year category winners, noting that many of them shared CCAI’s major focus of
improving its customer service capabilities.
In the years ahead, Mr. Rey said that whilst CCAI is focused on driving operational excellence and technological innovation from its
suppliers, the major focus for CCAI will be working with its suppliers to improve service levels so that it can continue to deliver
excellent service to all of its beverage customers in Indonesia. These requirements will be important to our assessment of suppliers
for the 2012/2013 Supplier of the Year program.
