❂ Well it’s HOT and it’s a glorious summer.
I am often told The WayOut Club must be quiet in the
summer! NOT true we are busier than ever. Many think
that the tranny scene fades away in the summer, as
‘girls’ become guys again, growing hairy legs for summer
holidays. This may still be true for some but now in
2003 the scene has many who are committed to their
lifestyle and so summer is a time for cool clothes, fake
tan, bling bling and cool late nights after hot sunny days,
as our editorial theme of ‘summer fun’ testifies.

is Alternative Miss London (AML) contest
on the 11th October. Miss Regine, reigning
AML will be there to pass on her crown. This
year to encourage a wide range of entries
we will have a top prize not only for the winner
but also for the best dressed. Once
again Respect Holidays has offered a 7
night holiday in Playa Del Ingles - Gran
Caneria from 8th December for the overall
winner.

media artist, German born Claudia Andrei studied and frequented
Ron Storme’s at Stepney during his last year
interviewing many of the regulars. You may well have met
the people featured or indeed be the people featured. A
wonderful snap shot of this period in time.
The Lazy Crossdresser
(book)VERY POPULAR The jokey
chapter titles like “My Size - a random
number between 8 and 16” undermines
the quality of the advice in this book with 177 pages of text and
sketches. But don't let me undermine the friendly, open and down
right honesty of the author Charles Anders. This is a good read
and is genuinely helpful.

❂ WayOut Restaurant hosted a birthday
party for Miss (Top to Toe) Nas. 60 friends
joined her including boys, girls and inbetweenies
(and that’s just her BA crew friends).
Miss Jodie Lynn arranged for a very appropriate
cake for ‘high-flying’ Nas and all reported
their meals to be excellent. You can book
your private party in one of the three areas of
the WayOut Restaurant or stop in for a snack
or drink to start your Saturday night out (see
advert page 15).
❂ Riverboat Birthday Party for Bella
Those of you who know Bella Jay from
Repartee magazine will know that she does
like to be a little bit ‘different’! So when her
friend Lorraine suggested a joint Birthday
party, she said how about a Riverboat
Cruise The rest, as they say, is history and
in July the Birthday Boat Party hit the
Thames with over 150 people aboard. Bella
says "It was lovely to welcome so many
friends on board and thanks for all the cards
and pressies girls! The cruise lasted five
hours, with the boat sailing past Westminster
and the London Eye, before heading down
river, to Greenwich and on through the
Thames Barrier, with photo opportunities
every few minutes. We even saw Tower
Bridge being raised on our return trip! The
evening exceeded all expectations. The
weather, was absolutely perfect (in a week of
record temperatures), with a fabulous sunset
over the Thames, and a full moon and clear
sky. A wonderful evening was had by all. As a
result, Bella has decided to do it all over
again next year on Saturday 10th July 2004.
So if you missed out first time round then
stick that date in your diaries for next year.
