Documentation<br />

Each PROFIBUS-DP module DE6-NET-DP comes with installation instructions (AWA<br />

8240-1942). For notes about parameterizing these modules, see manual AWB8240-<br />

1418, which is contained on the CD supplied with each <strong>DF</strong>6 and <strong>DV</strong>6 series<br />

<strong>frequency</strong> inverter. The documentation is also available on the Internet:<br />

Application<br />

The DE6-IOM-ENC card can be used in conjunction with the <strong>DV</strong>6 vector <strong>frequency</strong><br />

<strong>inverters</strong> and enables speed control of three-phase motors with a directly connected<br />

encoder.<br />

Further application features are:<br />

• Synchro control and ratio control<br />

• Motor standstill recognition<br />

• Torque regulation<br />

• Simply plugs into a slot in the <strong>DV</strong>6 <strong>frequency</strong> inverter<br />

Note:<br />

The card must be fitted and pulled only under no-voltage conditions.<br />

• Parameterization via the <strong>DV</strong>6 <strong>frequency</strong> inverter’s menu.<br />

• Encoder connection via screw terminals.<br />

Function<br />

• Output voltage (power supply) for the encoder: 5 V DC, 150 mA.<br />

• Max. number of input pulses: 65,000<br />

• Input: two TTL signals offset by 90° (5 V DC, RS 422 standard) with zero pulse<br />

and inverted signals.<br />
