overlooked by the IPAs. The <strong>WAIPA</strong><br />

representative, along with fellow<br />

instructors, prompted trainees to<br />

reflect whether some of the strategies<br />

could apply to their own IPAs’ work.<br />

The training was attended by no<br />

more than 25 representatives. Many<br />

recently established non-Member<br />

IPAs were given the opportunity<br />

to participate. The advantages of<br />

applying for membership in <strong>WAIPA</strong><br />

were reiterated by <strong>WAIPA</strong> Director for<br />

South America, Tatiana Orozco.<br />

<strong>WAIPA</strong> Invest Sweden Meeting for<br />

Northern European IPAs<br />

Sept 4-5, 2012<br />

Northern European IPAs met in<br />

Stockholm to disclose how their IPAs<br />

work today, as well as the perceived<br />

challenges in promoting their<br />

destinations in the years ahead. This<br />

first meeting was hosted by Invest<br />

Sweden on September 4-5, 2012.<br />

Initially the meeting was attended by<br />

German Trade & Invest, UKTI, Invest<br />

in Finland, Invest in Denmark, as<br />
