Applications: the number of people who applied, paid in full, and listed in their preferences at least one undergraduate University course.
Applicants Offered: the subset of people in ‘Applications’ whose “Favoured Offer” was an undergraduate University course. This is not those offered their highest University
preference. When an applicant receives multiple offers, VTAC identifies one of the offers as their Favoured Offer after all enrolment returns have been received. The
Favoured Offer is the offer that the applicant chose – by enrolling in it and rejecting other offers. It is usually the highest preference offered to the applicant, but not always.
If the applicant accepts none of their offers, then the Favoured Offer is taken to be the highest preference offer. Note that this number excludes those applicants who were
offered an undergraduate University course but subsequently chose a course other than an undergraduate University course.
Enrolments as of 31 March 2012: the number of people in ‘Applicants Offered’ who were listed as enrolled full or part time on 31 March, in an undergraduate University course
offered to them, but not necessarily their highest University preference.
Deferments: the number of people in ‘Applicants Offered’ who were listed as deferred before 31 March, an undergraduate University course offered to them, but not necessarily their
highest University preference.

accepts none of their offers, then the Favoured Offer is taken to be the highest preference offer. Note that this number excludes those applicants who were offered an
