SUPSALV continued coordinating response operations from Gulfport (at State Pier) as directed<br />

by the USCG FOSC.<br />

SUPSALV continued to assist the CNIC management team with maintenance, logistics, and<br />

demobilization.<br />

The total SUPSALV Oil Containment Boom in GOMEX was 98,000′ with 20,535′ of boom still<br />

deployed (22,275′ identified as beyond economical repair).<br />

The seven Class V Skimmers remained in port/ on board barges with assigned ICP Mobile Task<br />

Forces in Gulfport. SUPSALV coordinated decontamination of four of the assigned skimmers<br />

and three oil recovery/storage bladders.<br />

GPC personnel recovered Oil Containment Boom at Breton Island. SUPSALV was awaiting LA<br />

State Wildlife and Fisheries’ approval to remove 2450′ of USS-26″ Oil Containment Boom at<br />

North Pass.<br />

In Half Moon Bay, 14,030′ of USS-42″ Oil Containment Boom was still deployed and awaiting<br />

direction to retrieve or leave the boom.<br />

OSV MV Renee in Gulfport (offloaded) awaited further tasking orders. The Great White, in<br />

Gulfport, was offloaded and awaited further tasking.<br />

OSV Bayou Bee, in Gulfport, waited for the weather to improve and crew change prior to getting<br />

underway for Oil Containment Boom recovery at West New Harbor Island.<br />

Thursday and Friday, 02–03 September 2010<br />

SUPSALV OSR equipment and 39 personnel were deployed and/or staged throughout GOMEX<br />

from Pascagoula west to Venice.<br />

SUPSALV continued coordinating response operations from Gulfport (at State Pier) as directed<br />

by the USCG FOSC.<br />

The total SUPSALV Oil Containment Boom in GOMEX was 98,000′ with 20,535′ of boom still<br />

deployed (22,275′ identified as beyond economical repair).<br />

Equipment and personnel had moved out of Florida and Alabama. SUPSALV continued<br />

coordinating the decontamination of the three remaining oil recovery/storage bladders in<br />

Pascagoula.<br />

GPC personnel assisted in the demobilization of CNIC equipment.<br />

GPC personnel assisted with inspecting, staging, and preparing for the shipment of SUPSALV<br />

equipment.<br />
