Final Report, SONS Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, Gulf of Mexico, 27 April — 24 September 2010<br />

SUPSALV continued to assist the CNIC management team with maintenance, logistics, and<br />

demobilization.<br />

The total SUPSALV Oil Containment Boom in GOMEX was 98,000′ with 31,775′ of boom still<br />

deployed (19,690′ identified as beyond economical repair). GPC personnel continued to clean<br />

and inspect Oil Containment Boom and inventory and stage other SUPSALV equipment for<br />

transport back to <strong>ESSM</strong> bases.<br />

The nine Class V Skimmers remained in port/ on board barges with assigned ICP Mobile Task<br />

Forces or in Gulfport coordinating decontamination of five of the assigned skimmers and three<br />

oil recovery/storage bladders.<br />

In Mobile Bay, OSV Bayou Bee began transporting SUPSALV equipment back to Gulfport.<br />

GPC Venice personnel conducted Oil Containment Boom recovery.<br />

Four Class V Skimmers, and other SUPSALV equipment in Slidell, were cleaned and awaiting<br />

transport to Gulfport within the next 24 hours.<br />

In Grand Isle, four Class V Skimmers and other SUPSALV equipment were in decontamination.<br />

One was completed.<br />

In Gulfport, OSV MV Renee and Great White were offloaded and awaiting further tasking.<br />

Thursday and Friday, 26–27 August 2010<br />

SUPSALV OSR equipment and 61 personnel were deployed and/or staged throughout GOMEX<br />

from Pensacola west to Grand Isle.<br />

SUPSALV continued coordinating response operations from Gulfport (at State Pier) as directed<br />

by the USCG FOSC.<br />

SUPSALV continued to assist the CNIC management team with maintenance, logistics, and<br />

demobilization.<br />

deployed (19,690′ identified as beyond economical repair). SUPSALV continued to stage and<br />

repackage equipment in preparation for transport back to the <strong>ESSM</strong> bases.<br />

The seven Class V Skimmers remained in port/ on board barges with assigned ICP Mobile Task<br />

Forces in Gulfport. SUPSALV continued coordinating decontamination of five of the assigned<br />

skimmers and three oil recovery/storage bladders.<br />

GPC Venice personnel conducted Oil Containment Boom recovery.<br />
