Final Report, SONS Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, Gulf of Mexico, 27 April — 24 September 2010<br />

Four spud/jack-up barges with seven Class V Skimmers on board (assigned to near-shore Task<br />

Force under ICP Mobile) operated between Pascagoula and Pensacola as directed.<br />

All non-essential SUPSALV equipment was being collected by Task Force leaders for<br />

decontamination and restaged in Gulfport.<br />

GPC personnel in Venice were standing by waiting for improved weather.<br />

In Slidell, the Class V Skimmers remained safe from the storm.<br />

OSV MV Renee, with the Class XI Skimmer System, remained in Gulfport awaiting further ICP<br />

tasking orders.<br />

Friday, 13 August 2010<br />

SUPSALV OSR equipment and 113 personnel were deployed and/or staged throughout GOMEX<br />

from Pensacola west to Grand Isle.<br />

SUPSALV continued coordinating response operations from Gulfport (at State Pier) as directed<br />

by the USCG FOSC.<br />

SUPSALV continued to assist CNIC management team with maintenance and logistics.<br />

The total SUPSALV Oil Containment Boom in GOMEX was 98,000′ with 41,400′ of boom still<br />

deployed (12,595′ identified as beyond economical repair). Oil Containment Boom cleaning and<br />

inspection was conducted in Gulfport.<br />

Note: Total oil recovered to date: VOSS offshore - 21,176 barrels and Class V Skimmers nearshore<br />

- 2029 barrels.<br />

The Class V Skimmers throughout the Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi coasts remained in safe<br />

haven while assigned to ICP Mobile Task Forces during the passage of recent storms.<br />

Venice GPC personnel were on standby waiting for improved weather.<br />

OSV MV Renee, with the Class XI Skimmer System, remained in Gulfport awaiting further ICP<br />

tasking.<br />
