SUPSALV OSR equipment and 122 personnel were positioned throughout Pensacola, Mobile,<br />

Bayou La Batre, Pascagoula, Gulfport, Ship Island, Slidell, Venice, Port Fourchon, and Grand<br />

Isle.<br />

SUPSALV continued coordinating operations from Gulfport (at State Pier) positioning,<br />

maintaining, and operating SUPSALV OSR equipment assets as directed by the USCG FOSC.<br />

The total SUPSALV Oil Containment Boom in GOMEX was 98,000′ with 38,000′ of Oil<br />

Containment Boom deployed.<br />

All eighteen Class V Skimmers and crews were positioned at the USCG designated locations.<br />

The five Class V Skimmers positioned on board four spud/jack-up barges in Mobile did not get<br />

underway due to the weather.<br />

Two Class V Skimmers from Port Fourchon were taken on board the Pecos barge with their<br />

crews for skimming operations in the Mobile/Pensacola area.<br />

At the lower Mississippi River, the OSV Wes Bordelon was reloaded 4400′ of USS-42″ Oil<br />

Containment Boom at East Bay but could not deploy the boom due to the weather.<br />

GPC personnel onshore in Grand Isle continued to support near-shore oil recovery operations.<br />

Two Class V Skimmers in the “free skimming mode” were on standby. Two Class V Skimmers<br />

under tow with full boom legs encountered oil.<br />

OSV AHTS Vanguard and OSV MV John Coghill, each with two High Speed Current Buster<br />

VOSS, conducted onsite skimming operations.<br />

OSV MV Renee was pierside in Gulfport with the Class XI Skimmer System being installed.<br />

The Class XI crane was being installed.<br />

Note: Total oil recovered to date was 6098 barrels.<br />
