IMMUNOPROPHYLAXIS:
It consists of prophylaxis against tetanus by
antitetanicserum and tetanus toxoid.
Active and passive vaccines against Pseudomonas
infections are very beneficial in the sort of facilities
that we have got.
Administration of immunoglobulin as such is not
proved to be able to control or prevent burn wound
infection. They are given intramuscularly in a dose
of 1 ml/kg body weight on 1 st , 3 rd and 5 th post burn
day.
