Frequent dis<strong>in</strong>fections of support<strong>in</strong>g equipments such as<br />

respirators and nebulizers, hydrotherapy equipments<br />

etc. should be done.<br />

All the <strong>in</strong>travenous cannulas, ur<strong>in</strong>ary catheters should<br />

be changed after every 48 to 72 hours.<br />

All patients should have chest therapy.<br />

All patients with streptococcus B-hemolyticusgroup A<br />

<strong>in</strong>fection, staphylococcus resistant to methicill<strong>in</strong>,<br />

anaerobic bacterial spore (tetanus and gas gangrene),<br />

viral <strong>in</strong>fections and immunosuppressive states are<br />

<strong>in</strong>dications for complete isolation.
