Access to patient care area should be limited to
those personnel concerned with the care of
patients.
All persons visiting the unit should wear plastic
apron, cap and mask.
Hands must be washed any time contact is made
with the patients environment and disposable
gloves must be worn any time contact is made with
the patient.
Sterile gloves are to replace disposable gloves
when wounds are to be treated.
