Installation of your Morsø 1710 insert stove
There are countless different types of fireplace openings. The following describes several basic
principles which you should follow when installing the insert.
The Morsø 1710 can, as described below, be installed in an existing open fireplace. It can
also be installed in a wall opening/chimney built for the purpose.
1. Remove the existing register plate, if any. (Fig. 1)
2. It is easier to adapt the brickwork around the insert when the stove’s heavy inserts are not
sitting inside the steel box. It therefore helps to remove the cast-iron insert from the steel
box:
2.1. Raise the bottom baffle
plate slightly, and ease the two
side bricks out.
2.2.
2.3. Lift the front grate and remove
it from the stove.
The bottom baffle plate can now
be eased down and removed.
2.4. Lift the top baffle plate
slightly so that the two loose
holders at the back can be removed.
2.5. The top baffle plate can
then be lifted free of the tertiary
air supply pipe at the front and
tipped down. The plate can now
be removed.
