Health insurance maintained during the internship if
have obtained:
- European health insurance card (Carte Européenne
d’Assurance Maladie)
- Form SE401Q for Quebec (104 for internships in
companies, 106 for internships in Universities)
Reimbursement of medical expenses considered urgent
(unforeseen treatment necessary immediately) upon
presentation of receipts, a posteriori and limited to the
amount of corresponding French rates.
Very strongly recommended to contract Personal
insurance.
Accident in / on the way to and from the work place, occupational illness or disease
Allowance ≤ 12,5% of the cap fixed by French
Sécurité Sociale
Allowance> 12,5% of the cap
Work accident (& related) cover maintained if trainee
is registered with French system
ONLY IF necessary form /documents submitted to
CPAM and approval received back.
- Cover thanks to company contributions
- OR personal insurance cover taken out by the student

1. Health and Sickness Cover:
- Europe: Copy of European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
- Outside Europe: Personal insurance certificate
2. Cover against Accidents at Work, Occupational Diseases…:
- CPAM Agreement following the request for the certification of financial responsibility in case of an accident
at work, an occupational disease…

- Personal insurance certificate
3. Personal accident:
- Personal insurance certificate (one certificate may cover several types of risks)
4. Personal liability:
- Personal insurance certificate
5. Repatriation on health grounds:
- Personal insurance certificate
6. Legal defense and civil claim, legal assistance:
- Personal insurance certificate
