Youth Design-Your-Own Birthday Party For ages 4-10 Burr Ridge Community Center Fee $16 per child Min/Max 10/20 kids Every child has one all-time favorite “thing.” It can be pretending to be a pirate, playing baseball, dancing, exploring with Dora or Diego, or having a tea party. Whatever your child’s “one thing” is, we can help you plan a birthday party to thrill your little one. We provide crafts, games and activities around your theme; you supply the food and goodie bags. To speak to one of our party planners, please call the Park District at 630-920-1969. The Explorers Ages 4-5 Mondays and Wednesdays 12:00 – 1:30pm Fee $9 per class Cultural and Geography based classes. Children will have fun and learn as they engage in a variety of cultural experiences. Languages, maps, native customs, and cooking, will be explored (children need to bring lunch). Join other kids with the guidance of the Right-Fit professional staff for Saturday morning activity in their large indoor facility. Emphasis will be on warm ups and gross motor skills development while working with a vast array of equipment. Climbing, running, balls, ladder, obstacle courses, and jumping will be done in a variety of fun situations WB BR CS Fishing Birthday Parties Ages 6-14 Willow Pond Fee $8 per child Min/Max 7/20 kids Our popular birthday parties provide a unique setting for your youngster’s special day. We provide all the tackle and bait along with fishing instruction and supervision during the 2-hour party. A lunch of hot dogs, chips and juice will be provided, all you do is bring the cake. You can book your party through October 18. Please give us 2 weeks notice. WB BR CS Baby Sitters Clinic Grades 5 – 8 Wednesday, October 21 6 – 8:30pm Wednesday, October 28 6 – 7:30pm Village Hall Council Chambers Fee $12 ($14) Min/Max 6/20 Our clinic for young baby sitters teaches the various aspects of babysitting and staying home alone. Topics include handling situations such as storms and prowlers and other emergencies, discipline problems with children, creative activities, easy snacks and new games and songs. Certificates will be awarded to those who attend both sessions. Each participant will receive our informative handbook, “The ABC’s of Babysitting.” The handbook includes dozens of common sense tips, games and other ideas to make every baby sitter more effective and each job more enjoyable. Sports Fallball Registration Starts May 2010 B A S E B A L L Catch all the action on Sunday afternoons through Thursday nights at Harvester Park. Catch the Football Action! The Burr Ridge Flag Football League plays every Saturday morning and Monday night at Harvester Park from September through November. Stop by and show your support for your friends, family, and community.
