and/or lower front suspension ball joints <strong>MG</strong>F 449S (RH) & <strong>MG</strong>F 448S (LH).<br />

Class C (all) - It is permitted to fix shock absorbers to the rear suspension<br />

in the vertical plane, one each side.<br />

<strong>MG</strong> ZR 105/Rover 200/25 – Adjustable shock absorbers are permitted and<br />

springs are free. Adjustable top suspension mounts are permitted. Either<br />

ZR or R200/R25 front tie rods may be used (ZR give more castor angle).<br />

5.8.2 PROHIBITED MODIFICATIONS<br />

Wheel spacers are not permitted.<br />

Coil over shock absorbers or shock absorbers with remote reservoirs are not<br />

permitted.<br />

<strong>Metro</strong> (all) - <strong>The</strong> front anti-roll bar must be a single unit. Rear anti-roll<br />

bars may not be adjusted within the cockpit.<br />

Modifications to the front hubs or front suspension ball joints are not<br />

permitted, except where stated otherwise.<br />

<strong>MG</strong> ZR 105/Rover 200/25 - Rear anti roll bars are prohibited for <strong>MG</strong> ZR<br />

and Rover 25 (Some older Rover 200 models had less substantial rear sub<br />

frames with rear anti roll bars which, if original, are permitted).<br />

5.8.3 WHEELBASE/TRACK<br />

<strong>The</strong> wheelbase and track is to remain standard, subject to agreed<br />

modifications.<br />

<strong>Metro</strong> (All) - <strong>The</strong> maximum negative camber allowed at the front is 3<br />

degrees.<br />

Class A (all) - Front castor and front tracking settings are free. Rear<br />

camber and rear tracking settings must be within the standard production<br />

tolerances.<br />

Class B (all) and Class C (all) - Front castor, rear camber and front/rear<br />

tracking settings are free.<br />

<strong>MG</strong> ZR 105/Rover 200/25 - <strong>The</strong> maximum negative camber allowed at the<br />

front is 2 degrees.<br />

5.9 TRANSMISSIONS<br />

<strong>The</strong>se must be to the manufacturers standard production specifications, with<br />

the following permitted/prohibited modifications.<br />

5.9.1 PERMITTED MODIFICATIONS<br />

Quick-shift gear changes are permitted.<br />

Class A, Class B and Class C <strong>MG</strong> <strong>Metro</strong> (all) - A lightened steel flywheel<br />

and an uprated clutch assembly are permitted.<br />

Transmission bearings and bushes may be of any type or manufacturer. A<br />

modified and relocated oil pick-up is permitted including a magnet. <strong>The</strong><br />

speedometer drive may be disconnected. It is permitted to modify the<br />

shape of the gear lever. <strong>The</strong> gearbox lever assembly may be located within<br />

the cockpit, however, the floor/bulkhead must always be a closed firewall. A<br />

twin cross pin differential may be fitted. <strong>The</strong> clutch housing cover may be<br />
