13. All work to be exhibited must be matted,<br />

mounted or framed for stability so that it can<br />

be easily hung.<br />

14. On the lower right hand corner of the artwork<br />

should be a tag that clearly states the<br />

exhibitor’s name, school and the class number<br />

and name. (ex.: Class 6 – Mix Media)<br />

15. Improperly prepared artwork will not be accepted<br />

for exhibit.<br />

16. Classes are the following:<br />

1) Oil, Acrylics or Tempera – Any painting in<br />

which there is an opaque treatment similar<br />

to a traditional oil painting (no mixed media).*<br />

2) Water Color, Acrylic or Tempera – Any<br />

painting in which there is a transparent or<br />

“wash” treatment similar to traditional watercolor<br />

painting (no mixed media).*<br />

3) Drawing – Graphite, pen and ink, charcoal,<br />

scratch art, pastel, colored pencil, colored<br />

markers, etc. (no mixed media).<br />

4) Ceramics – Objects constructed from clay.<br />

5) Textiles – Weavings, batik, macramé,<br />

quilting, wearable art made from fabric, basketry,<br />

needlework, knitting, crocheting, etc.<br />

6) Mixed Media – Any artwork that combines<br />

more than one medium. (Example: acrylic<br />

and collage)<br />

7) Collage – Not combined with other media.<br />

8) Sculpture – Any three-dimensional artwork<br />

in any medium or combination of media.<br />

9) Printmaking – Woodcut, linoleum block,<br />

collographs, silk screen, monoprints, etching,<br />

lithography, etc.<br />

10) Jewelry<br />

11) Digital Artwork – Any artwork that has<br />

been completed using computer technology,<br />

includes photographs that have been manipulated.<br />

12) Photography – Pure photography, no digital<br />

manipulation. Black and white or color.<br />

13) Miscellaneous – Artwork that does not<br />

clearly fit into any of the above categories.<br />

17. Ribbons and premiums shall be awarded,<br />

$2 per entry.<br />

18. Best of Show awarded in each class at the<br />

judges discretion.<br />

*NOTE: Teacher’s discretion whether to enter<br />

tempera into category 1 or 2 according to its<br />

RULES & REGULATIONS FOR CONCESSIONAIRES<br />

1. Deliveries shall be made by noon. No vehicles,<br />

including golf carts, shall be permitted anywhere<br />

on the grounds after noon and until one<br />

hour after the conclusion of evening grandstand<br />

show.<br />

2. Set-up times. Space and fees will be forfeited if<br />

contracted space is not filled by required times:<br />

Outside space – 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday<br />

Building space – 10:00 p.m. on Monday<br />

Buildings will be open the following hours for<br />

set-up:<br />

Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.<br />

Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.<br />

Sunday, noon-5 p.m.<br />

Monday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.<br />

Teardown times: No part of your display shall<br />

be removed until teardown time.<br />

Outside space – 8:00 p.m. Sunday<br />

Building space – 8:00 p.m. Sunday<br />

Buildings will be locked on Sunday evening at<br />

11:00 p.m. and exhibits may be picked up<br />

Monday, if desired.<br />

3. If any concession opens for business on Monday,<br />

a prorated charge will be made.<br />

4. Exhibit buildings shall be open to the public<br />

the following hours:<br />

Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m-10 p.m.<br />

Sunday, noon-8 p.m.<br />

No concessions shall open before noon<br />

on Sunday without permission from the<br />

concessions committee.<br />

5. Concessionaires are asked to determine and reserve<br />

the number of feet they will occupy (include<br />

trailer hitches, trailer extensions, trailer<br />

doors, overhang, etc.) Include at least five feet<br />

for tent stakes. Please check with concession<br />

locator to be spotted. Front footage used will be<br />

measured and contract adjusted accordingly.<br />

6. A deposit of $50 per space will be due May 15,<br />

2013. The remaining space fees are due in full<br />

by July 15, 2013. All except $25.00 of space fee<br />

will be returned if concessions committee is<br />

notified of cancellation of space prior to August<br />

1, 2013.<br />

7. Electrical hook-ups are priced “per hook-up.”<br />

Each trailer and stock truck must pay an electric<br />

hookup.<br />

8. Concessionaires may not sell any item or carry<br />
