Market Goat Rules for Hardin County Class<br />
The following rules will be for the born and<br />
raised market goat in Hardin County.<br />
1. Market goats must be born and raised within<br />
the Hardin County boundary line.<br />
2. When making entry, must have breeder’s<br />
name including address and scrapies tag<br />
number.<br />

Main Show Area<br />
Class 1 – Silly Adult Showmanship<br />
Class 2 – Serious Adult Showmanship<br />
(All parents of children who show goats are<br />
encouraged to participate in Classes 1 and/or<br />
2. However, it is open to all adults!)<br />
Class 3 – Youth Obstacle Course for all ages (obstacles<br />
will be posted and available for practice<br />
from Wed.-Sat. in goat tent.<br />
Class 4 – Adult Obstacle Course<br />
Class 5 – Costume Class for all ages. Please<br />
make a story line telling about the costume to be<br />
read when entering the arena. Be creative since<br />
it will be part of the judging. Include name, age<br />
and whose goat you are showing. Turn into April<br />
Holbrook at beginning of show. The more the<br />
goat is costumed, the more points.<br />
Class 6 – Youth Timed Races<br />
Class 7 – Adult Timed Races<br />
Ribbons for 1st - 5th places. No entry fee.<br />
It is not necessary to own a goat to show, borrow<br />
one, with permission. If classes are too big, they<br />
will be broken down. Questions: See April Holbrook.<br />

Open class exhibits in barn area by 4:00 P.M.<br />
Thursday, Sept. 5. They will be released after the<br />
show. All rabbits shown in both open and junior<br />
fair must return to junior fair barn until Sunday,<br />
Sept. 8 at 7:00 P.M.<br />
Open Class Rabbits must be owned 30 days prior<br />
to show.<br />
All Open Class exhibitors must have a membership<br />
or season ticket.<br />
Entry fee monies must accompany Open Class<br />
entries from all exhibitors.<br />
Exhibitors may enter up to (2) entries per class<br />
per breed.<br />
Total of 8 entries per exhibitor in commercial<br />
breeds and 8 entries per exhibitor in fancy<br />
breeds.<br />
Use open class entry blanks. Entry deadline August<br />

All exhibitors and spectators are not allowed to<br />
be in the judging area at anytime, unless they<br />
have a rabbit on the table. No exceptions!<br />
Fur class 5 & 6 – limited to 1 entry per breed per<br />
exhibitor either buck or doe.<br />
Tatoo numbers for ALL open class entries are<br />
required on the entry form.<br />
Entry fee: $1.00 per class<br />
