RULES:<br />

1. Lambs must also show in Class 6 of Jr. Fair<br />

Show and are included as part of 2 lambs<br />

member can show at the fair.<br />

2. Lambs shown in this class must have been<br />

born and raised in Hardin County or Hardin<br />

County School District boundaries.<br />

3. Name and address of breeder will be noted during<br />

tag day on the second Saturday of June.<br />

4. Name of breeder shall appear on entry blank for<br />

animal to be eligible to be shown. Lambs cannot<br />

be shown unless a completed entry is submitted<br />

by August 16, 2013.<br />

5. No lambs under 95 lbs. or over 140 lbs. will be<br />

shown.<br />

6. All rules for a market lamb class in Junior<br />

Fair Sheep Dept. apply to the born and raised<br />

class.<br />

Hardin County Agricultural Society.<br />

1. Open to all Junior Fair sheep exhibitors.<br />

2. Limited to two market lambs per exhibitor.<br />

Must be part of a 4-H or FFA project and<br />

counted in the total of 2 lambs that a<br />

member can show. Lamb must be entered in<br />

Division D-J, Class 6.<br />

3. Lamb must be clipped and ear tagged on second<br />

Saturday in June at Hardin Co. Fairgrounds<br />

from 8 A.M. to 10 A.M. Arrangements<br />

for clipping to be made by Hardin<br />

County Sheep Improvement Association and<br />

Hardin County Extension Service.<br />

4. All lambs must be shown by a 2013 Hardin<br />

County Jr. Fair exhibitor.<br />

5. Points will be based on Rate of Gain.<br />

6. All Junior Fair Sheep rules apply in Rate of<br />

Gain contest.<br />

Lambs will be weighed at time of clipping and<br />

on Monday, Sept. 2 to determine Rate of<br />

Gain.<br />

through the courtesy of the Hardin County Agricultural<br />

Society and $125 through the courtesy<br />

of the Baughman Farms.<br />

In accordance with the USDA and the scrapie<br />

eradication program, all goats will be required to<br />

have a scrapie identification tag for this year’s<br />

show before coming to the fairgrounds.<br />

Farm tattoos allowed. Untagged goats cannot<br />

be unloaded. Must be able to read farm<br />

premise ID tattoo, registration tattoo, or<br />

state scrapie tag.<br />
