MARKET BEEF RULES<br />

1. Deadline for starting Junior Fair Market<br />

Beef on feed is January 1, 2013.<br />

2. Maximum number of market beef that can<br />

be shown is two. Only one market beef can<br />

be sold in the Junior Fair Sale (See Junior<br />

Fair Sale rules).<br />

3. No market beef with horns can show in Junior<br />

Fair.<br />

4. All market beef must be weighed between<br />

7:00 and 8:00 P.M. Monday to be eligible to<br />

5. All market beef will show by shoulder<br />

height.<br />

6. Minimum weight for market beef is 1,000<br />

lbs. All market beef outside of weight limits<br />

allowed to show at fair must be off the<br />

grounds by noon on Tuesday or they will be<br />

removed at owner’s expense.<br />

7. All market beef must have ear tag to show.<br />

All market beef must be owned by, in the<br />

possession of, and under the continual care<br />

and feeding of the Jr. Fair member by Jan.<br />

1 of the current year of the fair. (Continual<br />

care does permit boarding an animal, providing<br />

the member is involved in regular<br />

feeding, cleaning and caring for the animal.)<br />

8. Ownership of animal will be considered lost<br />

if the animal has been consigned or sold to<br />

another person through an auction or any<br />

other type of transaction from the time project<br />

starts until Hardin County Fair.<br />

9. Market beef are not to have permanent teeth<br />

showing. Market beef will be mouthed for<br />

age when requested by the Cattle Superintendent.<br />

10. All market beef will be tagged for sale immediately<br />

following the Market Beef Show<br />

on Thursday evening. All exhibitors must<br />

stay with their animals to insure proper tagging.<br />

11. Superintendents will determine and post<br />

market beef classes.<br />

12. No stalling in barn until all mulch is put<br />
